Title: Best in the Series?
Post by: Macawmoses on April 19, 2008, 01:34:51 PM
Metroid Prime, of course.

Which is your favorite? I personally like the first one the best, it was really a work of art. Second and Third seemed lackluster in comparison.

I loved the first one as well. They had some good upgrades you couldn't get in 2 and 3.

Prime, Super Metroid and a random one I can't remember the name to are the only ones I've played, and so far, Prime is epic, compaired to Super, which I hated. :-\

Super Metroid is the best Metroid game, the Primes were good but Super is the best

I'm starting to get into Super Metroid, so I think Metroid Prime Hunters and Super Metroid are the best in the series.

Super Metroid. That game was truely the best, because it revolutionized the series in every way.

Second favorite is Metroid Prime 3, because of the level of interaction.

It's either Super, or MP1.

Oh, you give me a hard choice.  I like most of the games (only the spin-offs are not as high up on my favorite games).

My top 3 are Metroid Fusion, Super Metroid, and Metroid Prime.

Am I the only one who liked Prime 2 more than 1?

1st.
Definately.

The first by far. I've never been a fan of the "dark/light" theme that is rehashed in so many god darn games. Plus, the first has superior beam weapons and much cooler environments. And let's not forget the amazing soundtrack. Does MP2 have the Phendrena Drifts theme? No.

I had so much fun just running around the Chozo Ruins, exploring everything and shooting the intercourse  out of the occasional shriekbat. That area of the game was probably the coolest.

And don't even get me started on MP3. It doesn't suck, but it's sooo much less fun than both MP1 and 2. The Wiimote controls just don't do the Prime series justice. The lack of an easy lock-on is also a bit annoying.

Okay, really annoying.

I didn't think MP3 was that bad...but the lock-on was annoying, unless you switch the lock-on system. -.-

Chozo Ruins is the best area in the game! Phendrana Drifts is second best.

The 3rd. I hated how you had to hold still just to look up in the first 2, and the second wasnt that great.

2 was annoying, imo, but it got me back into Metroid, more so than the first Prime.
