Title: I'm trying to fix my broken N64
Post by: Daft Pink on April 24, 2008, 04:59:44 PM
I decided to try and fix it, and I know whats wrong. I had a stupid 3rd party ac adapter than turned on but the cable connected to the N64 was not working. I had to open the AC Adapter to see this.  I can finally play my N64 games again so I don't have to get N64 VC games! Oh and I also have a question. I'm still deciding if I should fix it. I would get an official ac adapter, the expansion pack to play Majora's Mask, and Majora's Mask.

I would probably buy those off of eBay, but what should I do. Should I buy them off of eBay? (The price for an official ac adapter I found was 2 bucks. There were lots of 3rd party expansion packs, but I'm not sure if those are recommended). I also found a more expensive Nintendo one, but it was only like $2 more expensive. And Majora's mask was like $3-5. I even found one that came in the box. So anyways, should I do all of that or wait for Majora's Mask and my other old games to come out on the VC? I also wanna know if it would be smart of me to get a 3rd party expansion pack...

Fix the wall of text, please.

Don't get 3rd party crap, don't get stuff from eBay.

Find the money to spend on nintendo.com.

Just get official Nintendo everything.

Or wait a couple of months for Majora's Mask.

Yeah, I was thinking about getting official Nintendo everything. OK good. The thing is that I would have to wait until all my other N64 games come out, so I would rather just fix my N64.

Dam, what the hell, I'm not paying $15 for a stupid AC Adapter. I might as well just get the stuff from eBay, I found all of the official ones coming in their original boxes. Or I could just go look in the local swap meet.

Official Nintendo products are most likely to work.

Yes.  Fix your N64.  You cannot experience Majora's Mask without playing it with the real controller on the real system.  It is an incredible experience.  I still remember playing it for the first time when I was fairly young.  One of my favorite games ever.
