Title: Rainbow Road is hell.
Post by: SkyMyl on April 28, 2008, 07:55:21 PM
Go to Rainbow Road with the Wii Wheel. So far with the Bike, Rainbow Road is filled with twists and turns that will DESTROY you. It's hell in space, essentially! All it's missing is...a certain someone saying" Welcome to mah lairz."

I hate it! I'm so close to unlocking Baby Daisy...and Rainbow Road stands in my way! :'(

I'll have to see how hard all this stuff is when I rent the game tomorrow.

Try using the GCN controller.

it takes some getting used to, I had a hard time at first, but after a few practices in time trials it becomes easier

I thought I sucked at it too. But yesterday on Wifi, some guy picked Rainbow Road (twice), and I came in first both times (without falling [except with item attacks])

I found Rainbow Road hard at first, but after a little practice, it became fairly easy. I can go through it without falling sometimes. Rarely. <_<

I'm trying to get a Star in 100cc with the Wheel, so you feel the pain and sorrow I feel. :'(

Sure, make it freaking impossible, will you Nintendo!?

And it's helpful!

There's a certain turn I HATE. It curves up sharply, but it looks like it goes straight cause it's level with the other side. I always fall off there.

Is it after those two massive holes/halfpipes?

JrDude is right, but I always get rammed off the edge when I do it. :-\

Rainbow Road (and the game in general) is best with the Cube/Classic controllers. If you're THAT insistant on the "golden wheel" (which I couldn't care less about) then use it.
It's not THAT hard...once you know the layout well enough you can find some cheap tricks in certain areas...

I did that without a Boost Mushroom.
