I was trying to copy some game files onto an SD card, but I noticed something strange: it would only work on single-player games! MP3, SMG, and SPM would be able to be copied, but SSBB, MKW, and MASATOG wouldn't! Is something wrong, do I not have enough room on the SD card, or did Nintendo just program it this way? If it's the latter, then they're ripping us off; I mean, the Gamecube could transfer any game memory from console to console, so why not the Wii?
I'm sorry, i don't know.
how much memory is left right now. (MB)
and what is the size of memory your trying to put on? (blocks)
I know for sure that you can't copy Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl save data onto an SD card. But with SSBB, you can transfer Replays, Snapshots, and Stages to an SD card.
Nothing's wrong.
That sucks. Smash and Kart are the games that I really wanted to transfer in the first place! That's kinda weird: Nintendo actually made part of the Wii worse than part of the Gamecube.
Aren't those all games that are either Mii specific or that have Wii List/Friend Code stuff? For Brawl & MK Wii, your friend codes and friend lists would be stored in the save file, and MP3 has those "Friend Vouchers"...
Nintendo probably doesn't want you giving those files to a friend or something. Then they'd have your friend list... And there'd be the potential for two people with the same FC...
Just a theory...

All true.
Also, if you were to try to tranfer saved data to a friend, you'd be transferring your friend roster to them as well. And I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to do that.
But I mostly think that this feature was never put in because you have your
own friend code in the games.
