We have to vote on it. we have 4 options.
"In My Life" by the Beatles, arguably the best of the bunch. but still. it's the Beatles... (not hatin', but not really a fan of them anymore o_O)
"Little Wonders" by Rob Thomas. What? Why? :|
"My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. Yeah right. intercourse that poop. country? :|
"Time" by Sarah Mclachan. why? :|
WHY AM I CURSED WITH SHIT FOR GRAD SONGS
I mean, I was half-expecting Soulja-Boy considering our demographic of voters, but come on, at least give me something to vote for. I'd rather have nothing than this. :|
"uhh, we can't have electronic music because it would take too much effort for us to get a band to play that durrrrrrr"
Don't intercourse ing diss My Wish by Rascall Flats. You need to be appreciative, and then the Beatles too......maybe it isn't the fact you have poop, maybe it is the fact you have personally don't like music that others do.

i hate country. period.
I'm appreciative of the Beatles, once was a fan, but have moved on. that's what I'll vote for.

Then you hate a lot of rock too, as well as the blues. Congrats.
I'm SERIOUSLY surprised at the lack of mainstream rap, like you.
Also, they're right to not allow electronic, you dumb poop. Electronic isn't fitting for a grad song at all.
Quit whining.

Nominate something else, then.
What are your brilliant ideas?

lol, I wouldn't nominate daft punk in a million years. the vast majority of their electronic stuff is far too repetitive, and the rest wouldn't work anyways :\
you can't nominate anything anymore. that ended a while ago. -_-
there's nothing remotely near anything I like. some 90's rock would be nice, some 80's rock would be nice, some 80's pop would be nice. but instead we get Sarah Mclahan (who's even heard of her?), country music, a really old beatles track (but sadly, not one that I liked) and a pop chart. :\
there's more to electronica than the repetitive stuff that DP puts out.

Like I said, not fitting for a grad song. That's not the way graduations work. It's supposed to actually have something to do with graduation. Growing up, staying young, realizing your dreams, etc. And most importantly, it's supposed to be of a mainstream genre so that not everyone but one person goes "ew" when they hear it.
Electronic doesn't work for graduation.

there's electronic pop & stuff too... I just don't see how I managed to get so unlucky with having basically no genre I like as a grad song. -_-

I don't even remember when our grad song was, or when it played. You won't really notice much, so don't worry about it.
grad songs as in.........? We have Pomp and Circumstance for our actual grad.

You're 12.
You don't like Rascall Flats? >_<
i hope i won't notice it... -_-
the student council is dominated by the hockey jocks & affiliates, when there's really a much bigger base of people who like electronica, and bigger than that a group that likes modern rock.
they did a bad job of sorting out stuff to vote for.
Whatever happened to Pomp and Circumstances?

surprisingly enough we have a bigger electronica fanbase than a country fanbase.
too bad half of it is in grade 11 though :\
Why not use Graduation by Vitamin C? >_>

There are a ton of happy hardcore songs that fit that description. "Nothing Lasts Forever" by Mikk comes to mind. And I don't think people would have a problem with that song...hardcore beats aside, the vocals are quite mainstream.

The last thing I would want at my graduation would be to get a headache from some overly upbeat song.

Not necessarily.
Yeah, you need one of those songs to make the moment memorable.
