I'm probably the only one here who went to a magnet school for 6 years. (A magnet school is where they teach a different language than they originaly do, and barely teach the original [in this case, the original being english, and the one I was taught, spanish])
from Kindergarden to 5th grade. But all that spanish blew away in middle school where I was taught no spanish...
But have you ever been to a magnet school? Or do you know anyone who has?
That seems like a waste.
I was taught Spanish in Preschool, even though I could read, half the kids there barely had good English skills.
Canadians get taught french instead of spanish in grade school :P

I live close to the Mexican border, so in my area, we have to take Spanish from preschool through high school, although it is optional to test out of it.
it's called (language here) immersion in Canada.

My old Elementary school taught all the students Spanish. That was in California.
Then here in Nevada, they had a series of videos that taught the student Spanish, as well.

UGH. Why can't people just understand that we need to use one common language.
And if it isn't one common Language, just make every standard language standard where it's spoken, if that makes sense.
I.E. Forget about Cuban Spanish, Spain Spanish, Puerto Rican Spanish etc. Start teaching kids the RIGHT WAY TO SPEAK. -_-
