Title: How do you replace one laptop key?
Post by: Tupin on May 10, 2008, 08:13:58 PM
It's not an important key, but it falls off whenever I press the backspace key.

I really don't want to have to replace my entire keyboard...

That happens to me, all I do  is snap it back in place. It usually doesn't fall off again. (Never fell off again  for me, my friend had it fall of three times.)

In the army when we can't get something to work we get a BFH. :3

I tried what Redpaige said (sort of, minus the hammer) and nothing happened. Then I lost my left control key :P

Um, just keep on pushing it in while you're doing nothing on your laptop, that's all I can say.

I'd like to keep my left shift and my function keys, thank you very much.

Well, you didn't mention if you wanted the keyboard to work afterwards. x3

are you inserting it the right way, or are you just slapping it back on. coz if yer gonna put it on the right way, u gotta check the slot for it and the bottom of the key and slip it in so the pieces snap in place
