Title: Favourite aspects of MM?
Post by: Triforceman22 on May 16, 2008, 08:13:04 PM
My fav. aspect is the darker tone and more creepy aspect of the series.

Like take the moon for example...
It looks quite creepy...

and the cavern music.

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=xF1Xl23-Z3s&feature=related

Creepy, huh?

Much darker than OoT's Cavern music...

The mask collecting, the time limit, how the characters were actually more important,
and my favorite dungeon: Stone Tower.

My favorite part was how deep the NPCs were, and how almost none of them where generic character models, as they all had names (or titles), backstories, and probably sidequests.  Kafei and Anju's sidequest has the most heart-gripping ending I've ever seen in a Zelda, and I love having to save the cows from the aliens!

I don't have a favorite. I love everything in the game, and that's me.

Probably the amount of side-quests in the game. There was a lot you could do in this game that didn't relate to the main storyline so there was more than just the four temples and Majora.

Fuking Stone Water Temple

^ Fixed.

I've actually stopped playing on my second go around of MM simply because I'm at the point where I have to go through the Water Temple, and I don't wanna go in there...

The Music and The Use of a new type of item system (the masks) An awesome game. Everything about MM were very good aspects!

Fuking Stone Temple

Die. It was the most novel dungeon in Zelda history.

Anyway...
Likes:
+Difficulty (people that whine about it simply started on an easy game like OoT and/or are weaklings. It's a good kind of hard, not a terrible Lakebed Temple kind of hard)
+GF Sword (god is that thing badass looking)
+ST Temple (See statement 1)
+GB Temple (Only water-themed dungeon in Zelda that's good; see statement 1)
+Magnitude of sidequests (Bomber's notebook was a great idea)
+First Zelda game with any appreciable character depth
+Tatl>>>>>>>>>>>Navi
+Some of the best music in the series (Clock Town variations, ST/GB Temples, Majora's Mask battle)
+First truly 'dark' plotline in the games

Dislikes:
-Razor Sword is badass-looking, but unfortunately breakable
-Goron form in general
-Goht's challenge on the moon (WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY)
-Progression towards Woodfall Temple was a little dull

No.
Stone Tower temple is the best level.
It's fun and I just love the design and music.

The inverted temple music, in my opinion, is better than the normal.

No, the inverted temple is better than the normal Stone Tower period.

Yes I agree with you there, but I had 1 minute left game time and probably 1 hit left against the snake. But NO! I start at the begining of the temple for no god Danged reason.

You must have gone over the edge.
The GC version of MM froze on me right after I beat Stone Tower.
I can kinda feel your pain.

The Stone Tower is awesome. Easy as that.

The GCN Version of MM froze after I got the final Quiver. (The one in Woodfall.) So I had to do it all over again. >_<

Woodfalls not that bad but I don't even know how I beat the Stone Temple. I went someway I don't remember and I suddenly had the Giant's Mask and Boss Key.

I agree with everything psychoYoshi said except i liked goron link and for good add zora link, and that the difficulty kept me hooked and that boss of GBT = pain!

Woodfall is a very boring temple. :P

PsychoYoshi sums up everything I was going to say...

I'd like to add:  I just loved the atmosphere.  Clock Town was really cool.

Plus the music.  I really cannot get enough of the music.

I liked everything about the game except the following

-over emphasis on side quests
-only four dungeons
-central field felt small
-I can't relate to kid link, I prefer him older
-The time limit while adding difficulty, it also limited my "goofing around" I had to do what the game wanted me to do or lose (or keep going back to day one and losing my place.)
