Just think about it. Going on the Wii Shop Channel(or maybe the Nintendo Channel...?), going into a new category, and buying and downloading upgrades to your Wii games! Like, new characters, stages, music, etc in Brawl! And for other games! That would be pretty sweet. :)
I'm not sure if Nintendo will ever do it, but it could happen. A person can dream, ya know. :P
We have a Nintendo board for this, and no. It's been disproven.
It's already happening for Wii Ware games. For games you buy on a disc, no.
My reason why:

Probably not.
Wii Pay and Play will be used for small stuff like songs and skins, after all, the Wii has no Harddrive.
I was hoping for similar stuff for VC games, like if you had SSBB Data, SSB 64 on the VC, and a GCN memory card with SSBM data in either slot, DLC for Brawl or something like that.
Surprising. Look how much money Nintendo would make (or at least the store) from this example alone:
- SSBB - $50 USD
- SSBM - $20 USD
- GCN Memory Card - $5-$20? USD
- Wii Points Card - $20, I believe (I don't remember seeing other values in stores) or at least $10 counting the the points that the person's current balance on their Wii is, and since SSB64 would be $10 (I can't imagine it being more, as it's not an import like SMB2:LL was).
- What about a GCN or Classical controller? You'd need at least one to play SSB, especially if the Wii owner uses the Wiimote or Nunchuk for Brawl and did not own a Gamecube (they have to be out there) - I forgot the pricing.
- SD card can be added for the heck of it, looking at Brawl, even if Nintendo didn't make the money, the store would be getting something out of it, so they'd order even more Nintendo stuff.
I'd love to see it, but it likely won't happen. Games like Brawl are begging for DLC, after all.
Thats what "Wii want more service!" is.
but, i don't think it's real

That was proven fake long ago.

There is Wii Pay and Play, though.

I just hope that the online will be better than their current service. I wish I could expect Xbox Live quality service (especially with the Friend's Lists/Voice chat), but it's Nintendo.

I'm not fond of XBL, really. Not only the fact that you have to pay for it, it's just how bothersome chatting when not in-game or messaging is.
