Actually, Metal Gear Solid 1, or MGS: VR Missions, which is essentially the same thing.

Depends on which one you'd rather have, the Gamecube one is easier due to the fact that you can shoot in first person but it's really up to which you prefer.

i'd say the ps2 version, mainly because i have played part 3: Snake Eater

theres 2 ps2 versions by the way, and you can find either one of them for about 10 dollars.

then get mgs 2 and mgs 3 if you don't ill rape you

MGS plays a lot better on a Cube controller and inherits more of the mechanics from 2 and 3. Get it if possible.

I'm currently playing MGS on the GCN, and yeah PY is right on all accounts. I'd recommend the GCN version for the first MGS.

Start with Twin Snakes. I know its a chep remake of MGS, but it has the same controls as MGS2 and 3.
