What happened to this game? I heard that Factor 5 was developing it, but they dropped out for some reason. Wing Island may LOOK like Pilotwings, but unlike Pilotwings, it is mediocre. They haven't had a new Pilotwings since the N64 version, because the GCN version was canceled and the Wii version is up in the air.
Nintendo would be stupid not to release it, I mean look at the controller for Wii. It's perfect for a flight game.
I haven't heard anything of it, so, I couldn't tell you, but flying seems to be a natural progression for Wii.

Wii Motor Sports was supposed to contain Wii Motor Sports: Airplane, but as far as I can tell, that was a tech demo.
Which is kinda sad, because they also confirmed a racing game and a jet ski game in the package.

Pilotwings/Wave Race are kind of like Earthbound, but without the fanbase.
No one knows what happened to the series.
We can hope at E3 though.
