Title: Fav Smash
Post by: Macawmoses on May 27, 2008, 05:31:18 PM
So, which of the three is your favorite Smash?

To me, I like them all. Brawl is alright, has alright characters, better stages, and so forth. 64, for being the original, is pretty darn amazing, especially looking back, but for me, Melee is my favorite, I just can't list all of the reasons. I still play it today, after years of playing. So, which is your favorite?

Brawl is my favorite. Melee is ok but it was just dominated by the top tiers in tournaments.

I like Brawl more. Melee makes me angry when I play it now O_O

I don't know why.

Character-wise: Melee
Gameplay-wise: Brawl
Stage-wise: Melee (:O)
Graphics: Brawl
Nostalgia: 64
Music: Brawl.

Wow. 1st Smash gets 1, second gets 2, 3rd gets 3. Win, Win, Win.

Melee. I miss Mewtwo, and Lucario can't replace that :(

I play Melee on occasion. Melee and Brawl are two completely different games. Brawl's controls are just... smoother.

Brawl, although 64 is pretty sweet.  It had the best stages, and my 2 faves were omnipotent!  :D

I couldn't agree more!

I like how the characters are a bit more leveled out in status in Brawl, even though there are still overly-buffed characters and crappy characters in the end. I prefer the stages in Melee because the ones in Brawl were mainly copies of Melee stages. I also prefer Melee's gameplay because it involved more skill than Brawl.

My vote goes to Melee.

I like both Melee and Brawl.
Melee simply because of Mewtwo, Fun Action Replay codes, and the competitiveness
Brawl: Best music collection, balanced characters in status, stages, cool graphics, online play and.......what is not to like about brawl

Since I haven't fully utilized Brawl yet, I would say Meelee.

Man, I wish I had Brawl. :(

Melee.  The gameplay feels so much more faster and more action.

Brawl is great.  It has SSE (an actual adventure), good stages, more characters, stickers and a lot of trophies, online (which is mediocre, but what the heck), etc.  Melee I have racked up around 3x, maybe even more, of playing it.  Brawl?  I am not sure if I will meet that same time.

Super Smash Bros. N64 was definitely something else.  However, I find it too hard to go back and play it.  It feels old (not just age).  Classic Mode is very boring.  Basically, it is no fun because I don't have anyone who would want to play it again.

Melee and Brawl.
Yea that might be true in most cases but at least Mid tiers have more a chance to win some now.

I like Melee, I've never plated N64 Smash, and if I did, I don't remember. Brawl has Ike, Ike makes me want to grab a random dude off the street, rip out his intestines and hang him with them.

Brawl has the SSE, but too bad it doesn't last long. Its classic mode is fail. Everything is the same, same, same, same saaaaame. Over and over. I like Melee's classic mode, for sure. I just like Brawl 'cause I can play my friends and you guys and whoever over the net instead of the CPUs.

Brawl because it feels smoother, IMO.  And everything else about it.

I still do like Melee as well since it had better stages and Link wasn't as slow as he is in Brawl.
I haven`t played 64 in a long time, but I can say it is epic.

Overall, Brawl is better to me.

I say brawl.Brawl has almost every thing melee had,and more.
But i do miss camera mode, only because since there is none in brawl, most of the brawl paradys have died.

Brawl.

Brawl for me too, i don't like playing melee anymore because of the tier situations. Also i've never played SSB64, I know, i know. I'll get around to buying an N64 and SSB64 sometime.

If you look back at the 64, the stages were AMAZING (the Metal Mario, Tutorial, and Saffron City should have been stages in Brawl, and the Mushroom Kingdom stage pwns all the successors).  Melee brought adventure into the mix, along with the side smashes.  Brawl brought online and customs stages, along with the sticker collecting concept.

It was a hard choice, but I have to pick Brawl,

Melee. Brawl has gone away from the hardcore that 64 and Melee established.

64 is the best. I love that game.
