Title: Star Fox Wii
Post by: Unknown0 on May 28, 2008, 11:48:14 AM
I've seen a lot of posts about series that haven't made it to the Wii yet, and Star Fox is one that definitely needs a new game.  The last was Star Fox Assault (?) for the GCN, and it was alright.  Star Fox Adventures was way better.  Yes, it is.  Why do people not enjoy this game.  I like Fox a lot more having an adventure outside of the Arwing, even though that is the place the games usually shine.  Honestly, I believe they should combine both into one full game.  Star Fox Adventures has gimmicky Arwing gameplay, which was rather disappointing.  Oh well.

Who's up for another adventure with Fox?  I'm guessing E3.

Well it would be nice, but I doubt there will be another Star Fox game announced this year. It already had it's few on the GC and Nintendo is probably looking for its more interactive games like WiiFit last year(I think).
Maybe next year. All I know is that I'll finally be able to watch E3 this year for the first time in a while

Star Fox ended after Command, the endings really blew it up. :(

I know Nintendo is looking to get more people involved in gaming, but there are a lot more series that have been created for their consoles that are great that have not had their chance to shine on the Wii, other than Nintendo's core franchises.  For example, F-Zero is another one of those games that need a comeback.  Hardcore F-Zero > Mario Kart.

Not saying MKWii is bad.  It's loads of fun online and off.

*I did not purchase Command, since I heard it did not live up to Star Fox's name...

You could debate this either way. For one, I loved the out of arwing sequences in Assault, great fun, and were a great improvement to the series, imo. In another, Ninty needs to bring the series back to its' roots, to get new people interested, and people that loved the old games. Another thing is, I don't see why Adventures was soo bad, I loved it, it added a great twist to an amazing series. I think Star Fox needs to evolve in two ways; one way being more adventure based, the other being more shoot em up, on rails. Regardless, I would love SF:Wii.

Ya, they need another Star Fox game. Assualt was pretty good. I didn't like Adventures that much though. To me, it was like you were playing a bad Zelda game, only Link was a talking fox with a staff(i think that's what his wand thing is).

And if they do make another Star Fox game, it better not be ANTHING like Command! >:(

Bad Zelda game? =[

If they could combine both games SFWii would be perfect.

Think:  Actually good Star Fox matchmaking!  Epic.

Hmm, Nintendo announced they would be showing off their newest games to the series that havent been promoted yet at E3. Those seemed to include F-Zero, Pikmin, Star Fox, Chibi-Robo, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Donkey Kong (platformer) and more.

Although most of it is just rumors, I do remember reading an article about this somewhere on gamespot. You can look for it yourself if you want proof.

Add Animal Crossing Wii to that, and you have their entire E3 lineup.

Yeah, but I meant actually show something of it.

They have been working on it since the Wii was called Revolution.

Have they released any info since then?

They just said that it will have online capabilities, and there have been rumors that it is an MMO.
