The Anime club hosted an "Arcade" at school today and Brawl was the most popular game beating out Halo 3, DDR, and Naruto. Most of the people in the room were from the Anime club so it just seemed like they were making money of themselves. :-X
Anyway, back on topic. The prize was a GameStop gift card and a "crown" that said Ultimate Brawler.
The tournament was set up with 4 brackets of 4 players facing each other. The rules were set to:
3 stocks, no items and you guessed it...FINAL DESTINATION (always).
I got knocked out in the first round, pretty much because the other two Anime Club members were double teaming me, because they wanted to face each other in the finals olol, and it was my first time playing against people more around my level in person and first time playing in weeks.
Most of the people there were decent, but I noticed that a bunch of them would just spam. One kid would, no lie, use Zelda's Din's Fire every other move. :robotindifferent: They would also suicide a lot.
In the end it ended up being 4 Anime Club members in the Semi-Finals and obviously 2 in the finals. I couldn't stay to watch to see who won, but whatever.
Those people really need to learn how to play on other stages though. They unlocked the "Play Brawl for 50 Hours" challenge during the tournament, so I could only imagine somebody playing Brawl 50 hours straight on the same stage using the same character.
Hopefully this is fine to post here as it's about Brawl and such.
That sucks. You should host your own tournament, with your own rules ;D
FD all the time? I don't mind the stage, but at least mix in a Battlefield or Yoshi's Island or something like that.
I can't really complain about move spamming... :P

There's Battlefield, Yoshi's Islands, Smashville, so many other neutral stages...
Even though I still need to play you, I doubt you use a move every other move.
Oh and I used my main, Lucas, I had thought about Wario who I've been using a lot recently, but I decided against it.

but it was only out of a handful of people and was at like 3 in the morning and to top it of it was the 30 famin so everyone was hungry.
I wish that at least one teacher would start some sort of video game club, but the other 15 say that Video Games corrupt minds, why would you enforce it. Same goes with TV/Anime =/

I have to figure a way past that gyro...
I think if I can do a wheelie right, it will just pass through...
My school hates video game things like this. The only time there was ever a competition like this was for Guitar Hero 3. I don't think the winner won anything and it costed 5 or 8 dollars to get in. Also there was a Wii Sports one, but only two people were in it :P

anyway, our school had a GH3 tourney! I didnt enter but Allegretto made it to the final 2 and lost! He's probably gonna see this and post an excuse to his loss ::) but his opponent was the second best ive ever seen ;)
I could own the poop out of everyone in my school in just about every game. Except for some Xbox 360 games >_>.
