Companies just buy out huge lists of domains to park their crap there, so pretty much half the URLs you can think of are lame little search portals. >.>

I've always wanted to do this to prevent some major company from getting a good domain name.

I wish I could go back in time to like 1995 and register Nintendo.com.  :P

Wii.com would have been a good one.  Selling it back to Nintendo for whatever amount of money would be fun.

Nintendo tried to do that with Kirby Vacuums, but since they were established in America first, they had to take kirbykirbykirby.com instead of kirby.com.
