uhh, whoever modded this
you do know that people have the ability to censor profanities... right? :\
meaning that we get the same restrictions you americans face, and that file sharing becomes illegal up here. :-\
Would that apply to previously acquired downloads?
If so, your all screwed.
A lot of people still do it anyway.
Also, enjoy your terrible, terrible sitcoms and awfully dubbed children's cartoons.
Oh please...we've had laws like that for how long and we still do it X_X;;
Hell, I downloaded some songs online for free just today...
Harper will intercourse it up, it all comes to the Supreme Court, and with a minority government, ya. How about them Natives he apologized to?

They wanted their own area, when they split from the NWT, but never opposed being part of Canada, to my knowledge.

we shouldn't have to apologise to the natives anymore. hell, it wasn't the current generation that did anything. they already don't have to pay for university. :\
lime.
that's not really the issue. the issue is that laws are being put in place to allow them to search music players at the border and destroy/confiscate them if they think that there's something illegal on there, even under suspicion. you can get an ipod and put only legal music on there, and they can take it if they feel like being an ass.
apparently you're not allowed to put music from a CD onto an ipod now. that's what this law was saying. they expect us to run around with fricking discmans? :\

Yea, that's pretty harsh. I defy them to find one person who has completely LEGIT music on it X_X;;

parents won't let me use a credit card to buy music off of iTunes, no matter how much I ask.
also, it doesn't matter if it's legally bought. They can assume that it's not and destroy it anyways.

and neither of my parents families were around to abuse the native people. so why should I have to suffer for what the racists did when my great grandparents were in Asia and the Ukraine?
Yeah, there are a lot of reservations in America, especially near the Rocky Mountains.
They are their own communities, and they get discounts on a lot of things.
No copying songs from CDs? Hopefully Canada doesn't become as bad as the USA, arresting grandmothers for downloading a song off of the Internet. x_X

How is that suffering? The PM made a public apology, and put forth 2 Billion, it doesn't mean much against us. Also, we are a nation, you choose to accept responsibility for the nation when you become a citizen.

it's not suffering, but it's annoying. I know some great native people, and I know some that blame me and my friends for all of their troubles. As if we ever did anything.
that's also 2 billion tax dollars.
I'm just hoping that's the last of it, because they really should have no reason to complain after this. They had public apologies to the Natives many times before IIRC.
Meanwhile, the Japanese that were interned were hardly repaid. All of their belongings were stolen from them, they were moved away from the sea, where the Japanese culture is centric for food, and were treated like poop. they were hardly repaid.
Seems I forgot about that. that's why I'll never vote liberal, because the liberals elect idiot racist prime ministers who think that their dogs are talking to them.
Kyoto: Stephan, how about that Rum and Coke?
Dion: I'm a Liberal now.
Oh, sorry.
The Japanese were given reparations, I don't know figures, but they were paid out, which is a huge excuse that the African American community uses to get money for slavery.

they were given hardly any money. something like 30,000 each... about 40 years later when none of them were suffering or really in need of it anymore. they didn't get payments because North America was so intercourse ing racist back then. hell, all of the European Colonies & Europe were incredibly racist.
it doesn't help decades afterward. that's what they need to get through their minds.
Also, props if you can tell me what I was referring to with the Kyoto/Dion exchange.

i don't get props... I have no idea. o_O
I know Dion was pushing for Kyoto, but by the time that Dion would have possibly had a chance at office, going for Kyoto would have mutilated the Canadian Economy.
His dog is also named Kyoto, but I don't think it has anything to do with that...
His dog is the point. One night, when Dion was a young Bloq member, he was going around with brochures. A man invited him in, he followed, where they had rum and coke. The man talked to him for some time, while Dion ignored his job, which is where and when he became a Liberal.

Don't the Native Americans not have to pay taxes?
They're doing better than most people these days.
One group owns the whole Hard Rock franchise and they have their casinos too.
I don't think that post made sense at all.

politics funny...
The fact rum and coke made him leader of the opposition is.

In the United States, there's a slim to no chance that you'll get caught for downloading a song, everyone does it, and no one cares. If you upload songs to Bittorrent or something, you'll have a higher chance, but the FBI isn't going to break down your door 3 seconds after you create that .torrent.
wow that blows... heh I mean if you do that kind of thing.

Amerigo Vespucci had the continent named after him because a German mapmaker didn't do his research.
