Personification of the Harvard Business Model. Force your suppliers to sell cheap, pay your associates peanuts for wages, buy as much cheap Chinese poop as you can, and pretend that you have a soul through PR commercials.
You can thank them for displacing small, independent businesses and forcing all other large department stores to adapt a form of their policy because they'll be run out of town if they don't.

That's one model of capitalism for ya. Not the definitive one.
Walmart crap is cheap. If i'm shoping (heh, yeah right), then i'll go to... COSTCO! YAY COSTCO! Seriously, Costco is awesome.
But if i'm buying electronics, I go to Best Buy.
They actually have a decent book selection there. It's not Borders or Barnes and Nobel's, but hey, if we're there for whatever reason and I see a book, I'll get it.
Yesterday I got basically the Screenplay for Iron Man in novel form. I thought it was better than the movie >_>
I go there to buy my protesting supplies.
I have nothing much to say about it except that my parents always stop by there after we come from a movie. :|
I avoid shopping there and at stores like it.
I love Walmart.
I hate Walmart. They treat there employees like s***. They barely pay them then they take money for medical bills back once one of them been injured. They sell cheap Chinese make crap. You'll probably get led poisoning if you get with 10 yards of one. But worst of all there are destroying all of the small mom and pop types stores out there.
They dont sell Walls...
I see it as just another store...cept you can get EVERY thng there for a reasonable price (chibi-robo park patrol is Wal-Mart exclusive...)
I'm basically indifferent about Walmart...I'll go there to shop every once in a while with no hesitation.
