By "Modern" you mean "Current" right? Or do you mean "Most realistic"?
Galaxy looks like an amazing Wii update to the GC's cool cartoony look, I love it. But meeting Mario in person would mean BRAWL all the way. :O

Brawl adds detail. But Galaxy is still more Mario-esque.
I'd have to say Brawl, simply because of the "Details".

true, but detail is really what makes real.
Galaxy Mario is better but not as realistic as a real person/character would be.

The Brawl picture has way more detail then Galaxy.
Meh, the Brawl one is blockier, so I'd have to say Galaxy. And I'd also suggest modifying the title a bit as well. :P
Since when does more detail mean modern? Jeans have been around forever...not modern.
