I don't own one, but I know a few people who own pinball machines and replica slot machines. I own the latter because my relatives didn't want it anymore. It has a Pink Panther theme and everything is in Japanese.
I've seen machines being sold for like $200 on Craigslist. I would buy that, but I would have have precious little space to put it. :(
What I really want is either Mario Kart GP 2 or F-Zero AX, which sell in the range of $15000-$20000 dollars. :D
Yes, one of my friends has one.

What game is it?
I don't know, it was in his garage piled up next to a bunch of stuff, I saw the name but I don't remember what it was, I think it was Asteroids or somethin'.

My grandparents have one in their basement but unfortunately it doesn't work. Also, my brother's friend has a bunch of pinball machines, but I don't know what games he has.
Nope :( My dad used to fix them though.

I remember trying to play that once. I suck at pinball.
Could you imagine having one of these things in your room?

Of course, there's the less expensive one, but it has less machines:

What's cool about both is that you can transfer data to and from a GCN memory card.

F-Zero AX is super rare, only like 14 units still exist. FOURTEEN UNITS IN ALL OF NORTH AMERICA. I mean jeez, can't people maintain these machines? The game only came out five years ago. :|
Which sucks, because there was an entire cup that you unlocked by bringing your memory card to the arcade machine. Sure, you can unlock it by using an Action Replay, but it would be cool to have AX data on your memory card.

It was a small one, not like the ones in arcades. It also could be a Foosball table or a ping-pong table.

California has none... but Arizona has 3 :)
I wonder where they are? Maybe my grandparents have one :D
And how lucky for me, one isn't even 2 miles away from me. and it's linked. :D
Lucky person. >:( :(
Which one is it? Take pictures plz.
CALIFORNIA HAS FOUR. Did you people look at that site?
The castle'n'coasters one. I don't go there often though, but I'll take pictures next time I'm there. We also have a MK Arcade GP there, along with Time Crisis 4. Street Fighter 4 will be there too I hope.
Lucky you.
The one in my state is 4 hours away and nobody even lives over there!

So lucky.
We have a Dave and Buster's near us with Virtua Tennis 3 and Time Crisis 4, along with a Mario Kart Arcade GP 2.
An arcade version of Street Fighter IV will probably never even get an American release.

The only place that I go to that has it is Las Vegas.
Nintendo/Sega/Namco should start making those cabinets again...
I've never heard of Dave & Busters or any of these places D:
The only major arcades I know of in my area are independent ones.
You beat me to it! >:(
Well, I was going to post "If you had the money, would you buy an Arcade maching?", but still...
And my answer is no to both.

Even the most strict businessman can appreciate the fun and nostalgia of Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. :)

And you are missing out. Dave and Busters is like the closest the Midwest/Rocky Mountain area will ever get to having a Gameworks.

NFL Blitz is pretty good, but it must suck having an arcade game like that.

It's always hard to maintain those machines that have special features like a moving cabinet, air jets, and cameras/sensors. Even games that use magnetic cards to save player data require maintenance.
I guess it must be a pain to get a tub of oil and lubricate every part on the machine every week.

Yeah, I bought it from this pizza shop up the street from my house. The guy who owned it was closing, so I aked if he would sell it to me, 50 bucks ;D
That's cool, the machine even has the old Comedy Central logo.
Plus, it has Mr. Hankey, which makes it awesome. They really should bring him back.

I guess it was just a promotional thing for F-Zero GX.
I'm guessing what they did was that they rented them to arcades and then when the new F-Zero wasn't the new thing anymore, they gave them an option on whether they could buy it or return it to them. Most arcades could afford the price of it, but not the maintenance.
There's probably a whole bunch of them sitting in Sega's Arcade Headquarters.

It seems like that's the answer -_-
I guess it was just a promotional thing for F-Zero GX.
Again, that's probably the answer ;-;
Quick, someone prank call Sega and ask if you can still buy F-Zero AX.
Quick, I need Sega's number.
(847) 364-9787.
It's in Illinois. That's the headquarters of Sega Amusements USA.

Tennessee has one, but not New York or Illinois?
Why are these units so hard to find? They didn't just make 14 machines, did they?

Any reason you have that, or did you go find it?

I found it.
Wow, I just found out.
They only made 14 machines for all of North America.
Only 3 for Europe. :|

Why the hell would they ever do that?
Really, that's just horrible marketing right there. No wonder it's 20k just to buy it.

I'm guessing you called them?
Really Nintendo. You had the help of Sega AND Namco to make the cabinets. I understand it's a very complex machine, but if you couldn't make enough Deluxe ones, why not just make more normal ones?
The Deluxe version had to take at least a month to build, and the normal version takes about a week, because it lacks the hydraulics.
Ever thought of making maybe 25-30 Deluxe versions and 70 normal ones, Nintendo?

Didn't call them. I should, though. I'm too lazy to do it >_>

Well, when you do, make a thread about it.
Just call them and act interested in buying one. Then ask about the price, act shocked, then hang up.

My old neighbors (before I moved) had a lot. He would buy them broken and fix them, then keep them.
Did he ever let you play them?
Yeah, whenever my family went over to visit. I beat him at Tekken on my first try. ;D

That must have been awesome.
So many other sites are selling F-Zero AX...
I'm guessing there are a few that are in private collections.
I want to know who has the space for a big cabinet like that.

Rich people. I would know, I've to a few, "classy" houses.
One family had a basement fulla' arcade cabinets, a pool table, and Pinball Machines. F-Zero AX would fit riiiiiiiight in.

I'm guessing for them, $9,500 is pocket change?
There also is a few sites that sell the Deluxe version, but I'm guessing it's so expensive that you have to contact the company to get info on it.
Did they have any racing games?

Not that I can remember.
They had a few pinball games, Galaga, Centipede, some other cabinet, a two player pacman table game, a pooltable, and one of those arcade basketball machines.
**Note: The father is a lawyer, so 9,500 bucks is prolly his weekly paycheck, if not more.

Yeah, we would never spend $9,500 on that.
my grandmother had a pacman machine
but she sold it :[
