Title: This may come off as extremely noobish, but...

I know this probably sounds noobish, but is there a difference between the characters in the weight classes?

Yes, I know there's three groups of characters: Light, Medium (?), and Heavy, but is there a difference between the characters in the weight classes. If you need an example, is there a difference between Baby Mario and Koopa Troopa? Mario and Luigi? Donkey Kong and Bowser?

I am yet to see any difference, just the difference in vehicle and class. In Mario Kart 64, though, there was....just not MK:Wii.

Well there only was one vehicle in 64.

But the differences between the characters existed.

The difference between the characters in MK:Wii is so minor, you won't even notice it. It's mostly the vehicles themselves that contain the differences, aside from weight.

I was told there was an accurate-ish chart on Game FAQs on the differences.

Apparently each character gets an added bonus to different stats.

The chart is here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/file/942008/52716 (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/file/942008/52716)
You're gonna have to scroll down a little bit.
