Title: Which would be easier to hack?
Post by: Lotos on June 27, 2008, 06:05:49 PM
I'd like to attempt to learn how to put custom songs on my GH games, or at least the DS one, as I'm not too thrilled with the list (honestly, there's five songs at most that I'm interested in, and Daughtry only gets on the list because of Slash).  What would it require (as in, would an AR be able to get me to where I need to go)?  Would it be easier to hack GH3 for my Wii?  My dad just bought the DS one for me, because there was a buy 2 DS games, get a third free of equal or lesser value at Toys R Us.  I'd like to possibly return it to either get store credit somewhere else (for an external hard drive) or Mario Kart Wii.  Let's face it, I doubt I'm going to touch it if I haven't played GH3 in at least four months.

I thought you could only put custom songs on the GH3 PC version.

I would say out of the ones you have, GH3 for wii is probably the easiest to put customs on, I don't even think they've come up with a way to do it on On Tour yet, but I could be wrong. To get customs on wii you need to mod your wii, get a dump copy of the game etc. etc. it's pretty complicated.

Darn.  I guess I'll wait and see if anything comes up for the DS customs (I found a ROM to distribute Deoxys and any other event Pok?mon, along with the two club Nintendo games, so I might have the stuff I need by then).
