Was at work yesterday, and usual same old same old except one thing. On the bulletin board my boss (owner of the store) posted a list of sales and cars entered by store. We were last and basically he was like "WE NEED TO TRY HARDER!" and junk. All the employess got pretty mad at him (including me). Okay, not selling stuff and cars not coming has NOTHING to do with us! We can't FORCE people to come, they just aren't. Yelling at us will do nothing. Not to mention this isn't the first time he's blamed us for ludicrous things. One time he complains that labor is too high (well, you kinda NEED people to work the store), and when he cuts down on people per shift, he complains not enough is getting done. X_X;; At that point everyone was pretty fed up with him.
Anyone else have a dick boss?
yes, I work in a super market, most of the time I'm the closing bagger, meaning I have to collect all the carts in the parking lot, the baggers go out in half hour shifts, but when ever I close I get stuck with three to four hours of them, I told my manger about 5 times that I'm getting tired of it but still nothing, for what ever reason she does not like me
I sure wish I was old enough to have a boss to hate.

Tell him that if he wants labor that is cheap and get a lot done, tell him to outsource to China or something.

fast food...
It's amazing how he will complain about food being too high (not our fault, stumbling economy's) and labor being too high, yet he makes six figures and got a brand new chevy last year...while the rest of us barely make a little over minimum wage X_X;;

Tell him the economy is bad, that's why food costs so much.

I get that a lot. Can't a 13 year old be knowledgeable about what is going on in the world?
BTW, I turned 13 a few days ago. :)
My boss is awesome, since he's my uncle.
Having a family-owned business has it's perks. :P

5:39 PM.
Little late there, eh.
2:39 AM here :O
That would make me One Year, 15 hours, and 10 minutes older than you. Give or take a few seconds, what with free will and all.
waitwut
Oh, yeah. The prick boss thing. How long have you got left until you go to College? If it's more than a month, go find another job.

Yeah, I'm usually one of the youngest in my class.
I agree, don't work there if you have more than a month left.
Well, he seems like a bad boss.
I've had some tough bosses that blamed me for some outrageous things. But I've got enough redeeming qualities with work ethic that they eventually stop criticizing me for stuff.
Just tough through it. The guy probably thinks he's being motivational. If you just let him have his pride and not be confrontational, he'll probably get over it all when things take an upswing.
My first boss might actually be one of my old friends.....but I'm not to sure.
