Title: What classic franchises should Sega bring back?
Post by: DSWiiMaster42 on July 02, 2008, 08:56:35 AM
NiGHTS, Samba de Amigo, Ghost Squad, Golden Axe, and House of the Dead have been brought back, so what other ones should Sega bring back? I'm not talking about Virtual Console or XBLA, but like remakes or sequels for current consoles.

I think they should bring back:

1. Shining Force
2. Jet Grind Radio (quite obvious that I want this one back)
3. Toejam & Earl
4. Streets of Rage
5. Crazy Taxi

Sonic.

But besides that, Crazy Taxi. That game was great. My friends and I used to play it so much back then.

I agree. They should make Sonic games 2D again. And Crazy Taxi too.

That came out a while ago, it wasn't such a great game after all.

Streets of Rage would be awesome.

Streets of Rage 2 was one of my favorites on the Genesis so I'd love to see it back.

Crazy Taxi would be nice too. :)

Sonic Unleashed will have 2D-style gameplay, and the Sonic Rush series was 2D gameplay (but with 3D characters).

But what I meant was franchises that haven't been active lately. Sonic has had way too many games lately, they need to lower it down to about 1 Sonic game per year, then focus on remaking/making sequels to their older games.

Sonic Unleashed is not all 2D.

There will be 3D parts as well.

He's right, it's 2.5D (3D side scroller)

Well getting another NiGHTS game was nice last year but I don't want them to go back to it so soon or else it could end up like Sonic. So I would like to see them go back to Ristar and Panzer Dragoon.

Yes, Ristar! That was awesome too! Panzer Dragoon, I've only played the one on the old Xbox (Panzer Dragoon Orta) and you can't even defeat the first boss. But that's just one game in the series. I bet the older ones are much better.

Not really, 2.5D is something like New Super Mario Bros. Unleashed is part 3D side scroller, part Sonic and the Secret Rings-style play.

At least that's how I see 2.5D :P

Wait its 2.5/3D Because for half of the game its 2.5D and the other half is 3D :P
