Here's the situations I'm in.

Need for a Desktop: This is pretty sad how pathetic it is. Occasionally, my laptop will shut off. Just shut off. Not a battery problem, not a virus, not a hardware problem. Well, it IS a hardware problem, but not because something is defective.

My Graphics card simply sucks.

When my laptop shuts off randomly, it really isn't random. It's always during Warcraft. Always. I didn't really think of it as anything, just my battery running out because I might not have it plugged in on accident or something stupid like that. It got extremely frequent, and it was bothering me. So, just to check that it isn't running out of battery or RAM or something, I moved my Processor/RAM gadget thingamajig so that the Warcraft window wasn't covering it. I saw that my cores and my RAM were hovering around 90, which was a little odd, seeing as Warcraft III needs half the processor power I have and 256 MB of RAM when I have a gig of it, I went and looked at the specs again...

Turns out my Graphics card BARELY met the requirements for a 2003 game, which is obviously pathetic. So, I want to buy an empty tower and fill it with fluff and love and computer parts.

Need for a new 360:

I'm sure most of you are aware that my 360 is broken. A while ago, a year after the 360 came out, the March of that year, whatever it was, my friends were over, and we were playing Halo (Obligatory "lol halo sux0rz it borked ur 360"), when one of the 3 that came over went out to get a drink. We paused, waited a few minutes, he came back, and was walking over to his seat.

Somehow, he managed to take the long way, near the 360, and tripped over the power cord, knocking off the 2-inch high ledge it was on, starting the long chain of KZZZZZZZZZRHDBSKFJLCHEKFLCJEKHCFKMLCEJDZZZZZZZZZZZZT's that would follow until now. The Halo 3 disc was ruined, seeing as there were cracks in it, the disc tray was ruined, etc. So far, it's eaten and destroyed Halo 3, Dead or Alive 4, Dead Rising, partially another Halo 3, another Dead Rising, and Rock Band. That's around 170$ down the drain. I'd ignore the 360 and just get the desktop, but there are 3 things stopping me.

Dead Rising
Dead or Alive 4
Rock Band

Those three were the only things I really played on the 360, and they're some of my favorite games. Those three aren't out for the PC, and I'd be bored out of my mind with just Warcraft, Half Life, Portal, and maybe TF2.

The final problem I have is money. I have enough for a new 360 and a new Rock Band disc, but what about my laptop? I can barely use my laptop for Warcraft, but if I want to get a Desktop, that'll cost at least 1000$.

So, do I save enough until I can get a desktop, or do I get a new 360?

Soul Calibur 4 is coming out soon too.

I've also told you get the Rock Band disk replaced along with your drums.

Well, I would say to get a new 360 because you can get most games on the 360.

Oh, and demand a new Rock Band at EB Games because your 360 ruined it.

neither, I say a laptop, and if you won't, buy a laptop, dell makes some for $599 with decent specs, HP also sells some cheap $599 ones, I say you go and get a laptop and such, but if you can't get a laptop for some reason, buy a desktop.

Did you happen to purchase your 360 there too?

Even more grounds to get a discount or something.

According to my mom, Rock Band was purchased at a different EB games than my 360 was, but still, it's EB games.

Yeah, it still should be valid.

Just send it to Microsoft, they repair all systems for free if they were bought.

You have a three year warranty from date of purchase.

I think that might just be if you get RRoD, but it could work for other problems, since its a hardware problem.

Oh, and you have to pay for it since the warranty is up. But any problems after that are free to repair.

I just checked. It WILL work if you send it to Microsoft, but you will be out of a 360 for almost a month and some cash because your one year warranty is up. But after it is repaired, it will be covered under a three year warranty.

I think you fill out a form online, they send you a box to put your 360, you ship it to them (you don't pay for postage), they repair it and then send it back to you.

You do need a proof of purchase that you send along with an amount of money that you need to contact Microsoft to figure out.

And if you still don't have the receipt, try to find the transaction in EB Games's computer.

I didn't summon thousands of the cheapest units to feed the enemy. I was the one that thought this laptop was awesome and asked for it for Christmas.

Sounds like your laptop might be overheating, if the 90 was in C and not F.

Eitherway, i'd get a new desktop >>;

....wow you really are stupid.

Any game is going to do that to your CPU if not make it run at 100%. As i said, it might be shutting off because of heat anyway.

Get a 360. If all you're doing with your laptop is playing Warcraft 3, don't bother.
