Title: E3 Predictions?
Post by: Daft Pink on July 08, 2008, 11:13:01 AM
What do you predict will happen during E3 08 this year. Don't just predict about Nintendo, but Microsoft and Sony too. I personally think that Nintendo will announce a new Zelda. That would be awesome, but I really hope that it's much better than Twilight Princess. For Microsoft, I'm not really sure, but I think they will have something on the new Banjo game. I'm not really sure about Sony, but I think they might announce a new Jak & Daxter. So what do you think will happen at E3 '08?

Sony:
Killzone 2 is demoed to widespread acclaim.
LittleBigPlanet proceeds to blow everyone away.
New PSP games, of course.

Microsoft:
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts has another trailer shown.
People wait in line for hours to play Gears of War 2.
Microsoft's rumored motion controller is shown, as well as the motion controller for the new Banjo Kazooie.

Nintendo:
Kid Icarus Wii is announced, surprising very few but exciting everybody.
Animal Crossing Wii is shown for the first time, and people are impressed.
F-Zero Wii is announced, but nothing about it is shown.
Nintendo spends some time saying how well Wii Fit sold.
A new Wii IP is announced.
Some new DS projects emerge.

Nintendo:
Something about online will change due to demand.
An NES classic will resurrect (possibly Kid Icarus).
Reggie comes and says "we've sold more than our competitors" and the fans go wild.
Miyamoto comes with Pikmin on the stage announcing Pikmin 3.

Microsoft:
New Dashboard is announced and already has a date.
Halo Wars trailer and release date.
Gears of War 2 is playable.

Sony:
Good games are finally announced.
LittleBigPlanet has a new trailer, but not playable.
Talks about Trophies.
Some other crap that isn't really good.

Other Companies:
Red Alert 3 will have a trailer as well as beta date.
Tiberium will have a new trailer that revolves around storyline.
Ubisoft shows one good game with 100 terrible games.
EA says that a good game will come to the Wii.

Nintendo/Wii/DS:
Kid Icarus Wii (made by 2nd party)
Star Fox Wii
Disaster footage
The Conduit publisher announced; new footage
Wii Fit Sales
Wii Sales
DS Sales
Market Expansion information

I wouldn't be surprised to see a motion sensitive remote from Sony and/or MS.

What I'd like to see:
Sequel to Pokemon XD (using the main characters from XD and Colo, along with a new person you play as)
Pokemon Stadium games for VC
Upgraded Internet Channel featuring tabs, Java, Flash 9

I don't know poop about Sony or Microsoft, but Nintendo will probably won't do that good without the Zelda game.

Kid Icarus Wii plz!

I think that a new zelda will be announced (If it is we might have it by 2012). Since the DS is four years old I think there's a good change a new handheld will be shown. If it does I think it may have some on board memory and have gameboy and gameboy advance games to download like a virtual  console thing. I also hope nintendo announces a hard drive of some kind for the wii. That is more of a wish that a prediction and while I'm talking about hops I hop Ubisoft announces a new Rayman platformer.

Yeah, my list is more fanciful, but a mix of my list and yours will make up their E3 conference.

Nintendo:

-Will finally say something, SOMETHING, about Wii's incarnation of Animal Crossing and will put some detail into it, possibly during their press conference.
-Update us on Disaster: Day of Crisis, maybe?
-I'm going to throw out there that they're going to just come out and announce an entirely new game/series with some sort of detail put into it.
-Online will change, in some way, shape, or form. More servers would be a nice announcement, to speed up gameplay. Possibly elimination of friend codes in future releases.

Microsoft:

-Rock Band 2 information, song list, features, etc.
-Gears 2 stuff.
-Other miscellaneous games announced.

Sony:

-LittleBigPlanet is there, playable.
-Lots of sequels.

I'm not good with predictions, but this year's show should be good.

Yeah, Nintendo of Europe confirmed that there would be Animal Crossing Wii at E3.

This year looks to be good on all fronts.

Oh, and Banjo Kazooie and Mirror's Edge will be there.

But an announcement is likely. There's a pattern in when Zelda games have been announced.

-Lost in Blue Wii.
Genre: Survival.

-Wall-E (We knew pretty much this was going to happen anyway.)
Genre: Adventure.

Sega announces: MadWorld, a game rated M.
-Violence.

For the DS:

-Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Genre: Adventure.

-Metal Slug 7.

Isn't it a bit early for a new Zelda?
We got TP in 2006 and Phantom Hourglass last year? I'd like to see some other franchises get on the Wii before we get another Zelda.

-Wall-E (We knew pretty much this was going to happen anyway.)
Genre: Adventure.
And that's all.
Wall-E the video game already came out.

Also, I checked. Japan gets Wall-E in December.

Kind of odd, considering there is barely any dialogue in the entire movie, I can't see the very few human voices in the movie taking THAT long to translate.

I lol'd at David Mudkips.

Plus, it would never be on Wii since it's a Rare franchise. Even then, I doubt it would be M-rated. T rated at most.

A storage solution would be nice, Nintendo.

If there were to ever be a new Battletoads game, it would be on the 360. Rare is a second-party to Microsoft.

Oh, and Rare already said that there is a motion controller that you use for the new Banjo Kazooie. It was leaked in a video. Expect that to be announced at E3, along with some type of Halo FPS.

I was aware of the bolded.  DK boarder of oldsider.  It's all we ranted about.  Possible DKC4 for the DS (not likely happening, but we can dream).  Now I gotta get a 360, seeing that mirror (I forgot the full name) game with the FP Adventure, BK3, and the possiblity that the new sonic game won't be on the Wii.
