Wow....big news, big news...
Anyone else wanna talk about the baseball trading frenzy?
I still can't believe the Cubs got Harden for basically only Gallagher...
I think I heard the Brewers poopting themselves. :D
"We just made a great trade :D"
-Milwaukee
"We just made a better one :D"
-Chicago
And so the trade wars begin, with the trade deadline approaching. There are some other big names floating around that I'm interested to see the outcome with.
And the Cubs acquired Harden and Gaudin for four players: a pitcher, catcher, infielder, and outfielder, Gallagher being one of those.

I know, but Gallaghe was the only one of real importance:
Donaldson- some minor league catcher. We've got All-Star GEovanny Soto....so no loss there
Murton - hasn't been good the last few years, and frankly between Soriano, Fukudome, and top prospect Pie/Johnson we don't really have room for him
Patterson - Same situation as Murton, and we've got DeRosa, Fontenot, and Cedeno who can play second.
Gallagher- I was upset to see him go, but I'd rather have Harden anyway.
All I can say the Cardinals have to be like..."well, FUCK"
I betya Burnett is the next to go...and I predict the Phillies will get him...
My teacher's son got traded to the Cardinals from some minor league team.
That was the trade where the Cubs got Edmonds.
It's a shame Burnett is even in trade talks, because Toronto was supposed to be one of the "surprise teams" coming into this year, but they've not overcome a lot of obstacles, putting them at the bottom of the division, so it's not really a surprise to see Burnett coming up in those talks. Philadelphia might be a good suitor for him, but they need to conjure up some folks to give up for him, because apparently a shortstop is what's being talked about.
And as of right now, the Cardinals can still hold their own with what they have, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did make some kind of trade soon. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if they stood with what they have now.
The Marlins would just give away their good players for crap nad still somehow contend.
Burnett's gonna get traded...we all know it. Toronto has no reason to keep him.

FUCK YES ANKIEL AND LUDWICK AND PUJOLS MAH BOIIIIIIS. <3
Also, I am utterly mad that Ankiel isn't on the "last play" vote in for the All Star Game. He pwns Aaron Rowand in stats. o.o
I wonder what the point of CC taking out the period in his name was? :P

Teacher's last name? I remember the trade but I don't remember who the Cardinals got.

Both teams from the seasons ('97 and '03) when they won the World Series were completely dismantled.
I don't think anyone from the '03 season remains on the team...? >_>
