Well I got Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon today since I was curious about it and here are my first impressions on the game. This game is the latest entry in the Chocobo sub series of Final Fantasy. Basically you play as Chocobo that Yellow bird seen in Final Fantasy ever since Final Fantasy II and go through his adventures. While the story is not what you would call deep it still is interesting and entertaining. Basically you are sent to a world where everyone has lost there memory and Chocobo goes into there memories to get them back.

The overall gameplay is basic dungeon crawler where you go through level after level fighting enemies. However the battles are on a grid system so you have a limited range of motion. It kinda plays like Tao's Adventure for the DS in this reguard. It is easy to learn and overall works very well. A nice feature that comes in handy is that you regenrate health and SP as you walk around so you don't have to worry as much about having enough healing items.

Another nice touch is the overall presentation. The visuals themselves are nice and colorful and there are some nice effects. As for the music well this is where the game is a real treat to fans of the series. Through-out the game you will be treated to several familiar tracks remixed and redone for this game and it really is a treat to here some of these track again.

As for controls well this game has a very basic control scheme. No motion sensing are in the game and it basically uses the buttons and D-pad on the Wii Remote or if you have one you can also use the Classic Controller attachment. This game is simple so it really does not need the Wii Remote motion sensing to be used so I am glad they kept the controls simple.

I have to admit I have enjoyed this game so far. It is a nice addition to the series and is easy to get into.
