I just watched the AC: City Folk from E3 on YouTube and I'm even more excited for this game! The City seems too be a nice little addition to it and will be awesome IMO. Biggest things for me are how they kept the original AC characters, but made it a possibility to look like your Mii for those who wanted them.
The WiiSpeak functionality and the Wii to phone and whatnot are two features that also impressed me.
Also, the water looks amazing. (So does everything else btw)
What were your thoughts about the game.
Meh at best. never really liked Animal Crossing
i never really played animal crossing is like the game sims
It looks amazing, they managed to improve the graphics just enough to make it look like a Wii game but still able to keep the art style.
Also, I'm glad that Miis aren't playable but you can wear a mask to look like one.
WiiSpeak looks cool, but I'll wait until the 3rd party headsets come along.
First day purchase for me.
just in case anyone missed the E3coverage on Animal croosing check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsIdXofpN7o (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsIdXofpN7o)

Thanks.
anytime
It looks amazing! The graphics got a big update, and it still looks like Animal Crossing. Not that I really care about the graphics, I would be fine if it had N64 graphics. :P
And the city looks pretty cool too! I dunno about the the WiiSpeak thing though. That would seem weird. And hearing swearing in AC would NOT feel right! :D
But it looks awesome. I probably wouldn't use my Mii though.
I'm interested.

i have a habit of using my Mii whenever I can because I feel it represents me more than some animal crossing guy or Dr. mario :P
I can't wait, I'm going to buy this game as soon as I can. It looks finished... I wonder when it will come out?
...It looks like they redesigned the time and added a clock rather than a digital clock...

...Also, it's bus this time, rather than a train or taxi...

You mean like holidays? I know they have Bunny Day, Halloween, and New Years...
I've never been a big AC fan, it just doesn't appeal. In fact, this title is shaping up to turn me off from the series for good.
I'm very excited for this game. I've been a huge fan of AC since it first came out. I put nearly 300 hours into the GCN version, and probably 200 hours into the DS version.
This game will get me playing my Wii again, no doubt.

Why?
This game looks pretty good. I was a fan of the first two, so I'm definitely picking it up when it comes out on November 16th.
I can't wait to see the city. Maybe there will be a movie theater like the villagers always tell you to make in the other ones. All they need to do is put a huge screen and show a new video from My Nintendo channel everyday. Maybe the game will read what virtual console games you have and you can play them in the game like the NES games on the Gamecube version...there's a lot of potential to use the different channels for City Folks.

...It looks like they ... added an [analog] clock rather than a digital clock...
My first disappointment related to this game, unless of course there's an option to switch between the two. Still a rather small difference but digital is faster to read, takes up less screen space, and has more accurate minute count. Not that a clock is entirely necessary on a console Animal Crossing since I have one just above my TV.
(I'm saying it's my first disappointment to show how generally non-disappointing it is, not to complain over every small detail)
The game looks very good to me. I can't get games on launch but I think this'll be my most wanted christmas gift.
IGN doesn't seem to like the game when they demoed it, though.
I don't care what it's like, I'm getting it November 16th.
WOOO! I just saw the video. =D THEY'RE BRINGING BACK THE CLIFFS!
WW wasn't the same as AC for one of many things...they had no cliffs, those cliffs you go down...then you see those cliffs in the distance and want to go up there...the city seems cool...but...is it gonna have all the like traveling characters there?
I seriously cannot wait for this game to come out.
I'm a huge fan of Animal Crossing, even though I never owned the original.
I played it once a few years ago at a friend's house and I knew I had to get AC:WW.
The graphics look very smooth, which is nice to see.
I rather like the idea of the City.
I wish you could see other players there, but alas, this is Nintendo...
I'd really like to see a Restaurant in the City and/or maybe Brewster can expand the cafe into selling sandwiches.
I hope they give you more space for your mailbox and more space for Patterns.
It would also be nice to see a new worker in town (Laundromat? olol) and I'd like to see Pete more often.
There's probably more that I can't remember to mention.
well i have heard alot about the game but i still dont know what the main point of the game is..so basicly what do you do in the game

Buy things to make your house look better... :| Oh and fish and collect stuff with peeps online...
Animal Crossing is a life sim, similar to Harvest Moon, but in my opinion MUCH better.
Harvest Moon 64 was awesome though.

Return the basement from the cube, along with the storage space in the closet from AC:WW.
Anyone else notice the town gate behind the bus? I guess no Police Station again...

I never owned the GCN version, but I played it once.
I loved the Police Station, I wish some of the neighbors had gotten arrested.
Then you could go visit them in jail :D
It looks great :D
I just wish the WiiSpeak was a headset, so I'll have to wait a little while for 3rd pparites, and to convince my parents to actually let me use it D=
