Sony:
LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, and a few surprises were all I was expecting, and I got all three because they announced God of War III and MAG.
Microsoft:
I was REALLY expecting a motion controller to be in the conference somewhere. I mean, a majority of the conference was spent focusing on making things easier for non-gamers, and it there were so many rumors pointing towards it. Other than that, I expected Gears of War 2 and a few XBLA games.
Nintendo:
This is the conference that really let everyone down, because Nintendo hyped it up and kept everything so secretive, no one knew what to expect. Well, except for Animal Crossing Wii, that was a shoe-in. But I really expected a new Kid Icarus from Nintendo, as well as some news of an original IP or new localization or something.
Not just a game we've known about for two years and Wii Sports. And Reggie, what was that big surprise you had for gamers? I'm guessing it was a mix of Animal Crossing and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, as he has been quoted that those two games are the reason why gamers shouldn't feel neglected by Nintendo. That's nice, but where's my Pikmin? Where's my new Zelda trailer? F-Zero and Pilotwings would have been great also. Oh, and there's this little franchise called Starfox, Nintendo. Maybe you've heard of it?
Hey, at least the Miyamoto interviews basically confirmed Kid Icarus Wii and that Pikmin 3 will happen. :P
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars?
wut
I was expecting a 36Wiimote as well. I guess Miis are close enough...
I really though Punch Out W!! was going to be there, and I was hoping for Kid Icarus or Pikmin.
But there's always TGS and Nintendo Powers secret (unless its Fire Emblem DS or Wii Sports Resort).

Nintendo doesn't like TGS. Nintendo Power's secret is probably Chrono Trigger somehow because they already featured Fire Emblem DS.
They usually have their own media summit twice a year, so new things will probably be announced in September when the next one is.

I wanted nintendo to give the lineup of the new games in their franchises, but all I get is GTA: Chinatown Wars(WTF?!?!?!?!) Wii Voice, and a 1:1 motion sensor. C'mon Nintendo, you havent done ANYTHING for people like us.

Hey, GTA Chinatown Wars could be good, we finally got voice chat, and an even better Wii remote. Still, they could have given us F-Zero or Kid Icarus or something. Even Pilotwings would be good.
They brought out some decent stuff, they just could have made it more interesting.
Just wait until their Fall Media Summit, they get into the nitty-gritty there.

Sony: more LBP (yay!), Resistance 2 (yay!), some kind of God of War 3 news (yay!), movies/tv info should I want it (yay!), Home (there, but no news....urhg)

I was just saying, they seem to prefer having their own events, the only reason they canceled Spaceworld was because they wanted to focus their energy onto E3. Now, they are searching for lots of different conferences, they might as well rename their media summits Spaceworld 2.0 and have it twice a year.

Despite how informative the Sony conference was, they DID sound like they were begging for a second chance.
I don't think anything needs to be said about Nintendo.
Microsoft was decent, even though some of the stuff they presented makes it seem like they are trying to capture all markets like Nintendo, but unlike them, they weren't successful.

It's usually like, one game we all expected/half announced at E3...so again it's kinda wahts the point of holding it off?
At least Miyamoto gives us what we want. "We're making Pikmin3" "The Zelda team is trying new things" "I'm not liable to talk about games I'm not producer off" (In response to the Kid Icarus question).
I mean just saying "we're making these games, but we can't show you yet" would've been fine...which is of course my main gripe.

Apparently Nintendo sees E3 as a chance to show of new ideas, like WiiSports Resort and WiiSpeak. They can always show off their hardcore games at a different conference.
How about both...you kinda need both to keep interest... X_X;;
The conference where they show old, popular franchises is E For All and the Media Summit because those are more hands-on events for the gamers and smaller media outlets instead of the giants of media and CEOs.
Not really....
Their own even is private...the only one that is open is E4All...and thats when they usually do demos rather than announcements X_X;;
They usually announce things at their Media Summit and demo them at E For All.
That's what they are doing, they just don't want to tell us.

Why not? They're coming across as uncaring poop holes who couldn't give a rats ass about actaul gamers (and it's become increasingly aware that, it is their real attitude it seems besides Miyamoto). I mean, Iwata and the soccermom said NOTHING, and Reggie dodged the question relentlessly...doesn't that tell you something?

They are either trying to hide something or they really don't care anymore.

I'm guessing the latter. It seems IGN agrees with me on this in their overview of E3 now that it's over. Basically they said if Nintendo wasn't going to bring the games they shouldn't have bothered showing up...MotionPlus, WarioLand, and Conduit where the only things of interest the entire show to them...overything else was bad or no one cared.
