"Miyamoto says that Pikmin team and the Zelda team are all enjoying creating their games?but he does not mention specifically what games they are working on. Of course, this statement would lead us to believe that they are hard at work on Zelda and Pikmin sequels.
Miyamoto just 100% confirmed Pikmin. his official statement as ?We are making Pikmin?"

I wonder how long it will be until we get a trailer... hopefully soon ;D

Probably both.
Anyway, I can't wait for this.
Thanks Miyamoto, you made the conference tolerable with all of your leaks.

Nope, but at least we know one Captain will be making his way to Wii.
There better be an onion/storage space for bulbmin.
Neato. I really like the Wii because it gets me to try alot of games I never did (no, i am not going to buy another gamecube game)
So far, I have tried these series' for the first time:
Dr. Mario
Excite (series)
Guitar Hero (I played it before but never knew how)
Metroid Prime (sort of, I only played the endings of the first 2)
I will likely be trying a couple more new series:
Animal Crossing (I played it once, but it wasnt an interesting part)
Pikmin
F-Zero (only played GC and Arcade ones a couple times, Arcade is waaay better)

You played F-Zero AX? Man, I'm jealous. There's only 14 cabinets in all of North America. :(
Animal Crossing is fun once you get into it, Pikmin is awesome, and F-Zero is awesome once you get past the huge difficulty curve. Hopefully they will make F-Zero Wii just a hair bit easier. Not too easy though. It being difficult and requiring practice is what makes it fun.
I'd rather see this than almost anything else though. Pikmin is one of my favorite Nintendo series. I still need to go back and collect all of the R.O.B. parts in Pikmin 2 :O
You must play it.

Yeah, there's only 14 in all of America. Did you play the one that tilted when you turned? They were such high maintenance and cost so much to buy that very few places kept them. Hey, at least we aren't in Europe. They only have three there.
The Deluxe one that tilted had all 40 machines, but both had the option to transfer machines and tracks to and from a GCN memory card that had F-Zero GX data on it. In other words, you could race the machines you created in the arcade version, and unlock the AX Cup and racers via the arcade version.

There was a place to put a GC memory card. Is that what you were talking about!? And I spent like 5 bucks on that thing (.50 a game) it was so fun, I couldn't stop playing it.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. In some places, you could even get a "license" that was a magnetic card that saved your progress. Was the one you played like the one in my avatar or the one that tilts when you turn?
There's just 14 in public arcades. There's more in private collections, there is even a site selling them.
I've never played through Pikmin.
It bored me. I guess I didn't really see the intensity.
I'll try and get my hands on this new one (if its on the wii) and give it a second shot.

Probably the magical bubble monster. It chases you down, only appears underwater, and cannot be killed without the power of purple. Also, its supposed to be the bubbly manifestation of rage... or something of that nature... :P

There are different areas, each with unique enemies and treasures to collect. Pikmin 2 added underground caves in each area, which made it much better. The whole point is to kill critters to make pikmin, and make pikmin to collect treasures.
You could probably just buy Pikmin 2 for ten bucks if you're willing to buy a GCN game.

It's not an open world, you have to collect ship parts by directing Pikmin to collect them for you.

I've never played through Pikmin.
It bored me. I guess I didn't really see the intensity.
I'll try and get my hands on this new one (if its on the wii) and give it a second shot.
Pikmin 2 had underwater caves with magical bubble monsters :O
Oooo very magical indeed. What is the most strange creature in all of pikmin?
Probably the magical bubble monster. It chases you down, only appears underwater, and cannot be killed without the power of purple. Also, its supposed to be the bubbly manifestation of rage... or something of that nature... :P
lol, so you can go underwater in Pikmin?
You can only go in it with blue Pikmin, and the cave is underwater...
But once you enter the cave the water is gone :D
lol odd :P
So what is the main basis of Pikmin? Is there a large open world to explore or levels leading up to the end of the game.
No, i am not. I will need to borrow it from someone. But it definately looks interestig. Oh well, you can watch the entire game on YouTube by now :P
It's better to experience Pikmin by PLAYING it, not watching it.
Well, I dont have any way to play it for I know nobody who has it. And I am not going to buy it either.
Why? It's only $10 and you have a Wii.

Because I have no GC controller to play it with, and I will want to sell it back after playing it, which will only give me a buck at most

Why can't you rent games?
They see it as a waste of money, and we no longer go to Blockbuster (the only place to rent games in Woodland Park)
My parents see it as a way to save money, they would rather have me spend $7 to rent a game to see if I like it before I spend $50 on it.
