An odd question came to me from TJ's thread, and that is how you jump.
I use X, its just the one I find easiest to use and perform SH's with.
X and typically only with speed characters and IC's (for 2nd)

I forgot to let the voter make two choices. >_<
I use Y for the Gamecube Controller. Always. I've always used Y.
For the Nunchuk, I use Up on the Stick.
For the Wiimote...
I haven't used Classic, so...nothing, I guess.
I use X
I press up on the analog stick.
I find the Y button to be most comfortable. :robothappy:
I use the X button because I find it comfortable
Other I use down on the D-pad of a wiimote/nunchuck.
I use Y.
It's the most comfortable for me.
With Wiimote+Nunchuck, I use up on th analog stick or C.
I use X because if I use the analog stick it makes it hard to do attacks at least for me and I've just always used it in Melee and Brawl. Also because in SSB for the N64 I used the C button to jump.
I use X. It just feels right.
I like how no one saw the second part.
Other ftw.
Give some love to the Nunchuck users :P
I am a pimp that uses the classic controller and has L button set to jump. FEAR ME.
I also took off tap to jump because it's annoying.

I'm the post editing ninja.
I use Y to jump D:
X because it's right next to A
Y.
It's the best.
I always use the analog stick. It's how I started, and that's how I play. =P
X or Y, whichever is closer to which button I'm currently using.
Gamecube Controller, I use Up on the stick, because I rest my thumb in the space between A and B, so it takes a little too long to move from there, to Y/X, and back to A/B.
i have always used Y because i use it to jump in other games too like starfox assault.
