I went to the one in Monterey Bay, California. It was awesome! ;D
They had Otters, which makes it automatically amazing. :3
I even got to see one in the wild, which was cool.
There was also an awesome exhibit with jellyfish, octopuses, sea stars, animals that live in the kelp forest, rays, animals that live in the deep water (tuna, sharks, dolphin (the fish), and even an ocean sunfish), penguins, and two types of otters (river and sea).
They had a lot of interactive activities, such as touch pools, where you could touch sting rays, various forms of kelp, starfish, and crabs. There was also a lot of buttons to press. :D
Awesome experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if they live in the area.
Yes I stole the idea from Lotos' thread
Cool.
Not sure if they have an aquarium near me...
I love that aquariam. I've been there a few times. I wish it wasn't like, 100 miles from my house, or i'd go all the time :P
Too bad you didn't go sooner, before they released the baby Great White. Or mabe they got another... And you've never seen an Otter?
Too bad you didn't get to see the Great White that was there for awhile. I remember when I went a turtle bumped into it. Everyone in the crowd thought the shark was going to attack it. >>
Did you get to sample the tuna :O

They didn't have a Great White when I went. :(
And no, I've never seen an Otter before. I live on the complete other side of the country and I don't think they have them over there.
I love otters

Uhm.. I haven't been there in awhile. Do you remember a huge glass exhibit that took up the whole room? It had stairs that you could go up and see from a higher view. It probably didn't help that it was packed in there when I went...

Yeah I'm pretty sure I know which one your talking about.
It also has a bottom floor, which you see later.
That was the one with the tuna, dolphin, and the sunfish.
If there isn't Humuhumukununukuapua'a on display, it's not worth it.
The pool in my backyard has all the aquariam you'll ever need.

Thats the one. It was tiny anyway. Just looked like a little reef shark. So you didn't miss much.
Bleh, aquariums and zoos don't do much for me.
I get bored. D:

Try the, "Pet Zoo Extreme"
The aquarium in Connecticut I go to sometimes (Maritime Aquarium) is quite good as well, and has most of that stuff.
For a short time they also had an albino alligator...although it was kind of a letdown because they had him turned away from the viewing area and it was kinda sad :(
