Of course there's the basic no sharing FCs/personal info/cursing/talk of ROMs, but there were some lesser known rules.
I just realized that it was an unwritten rule that you didn't talk about any game altering devices at all, even the Game Genie on the Legacy board. Speaking of the Legacy board, you would get warned if you didn't talk about the American NES exclusively, and mentioning the Sharp Twin Famicom could get you banned. :-\
I'm just glad this place is a lot less strict.

I said emulator and I got warned.
That, and allowing that stupid Vanessa fad. >_>

Looking back at the first sig I made, it's so freaking small compared to what we have now. It's kinda hard to believe that people could make good sigs with so little area.
That darn sig rule was annoying. 48 pixels. -_-
I remember mine was 49 pixels (because I went up one pixel by accident), and it was removed one minute after I put the sig on.
Now THAT was BS.

I wrote a post that was quite long and very well thought out, about why it's not a big deal.
It got about 10 pages worth of posts, then was deleted.
I wrote about how games are made to be fun. How a person wants to have fun is up to them, and using a game shark is by all means fair play in that department. If they use it in a multiplayer setting without the other players consent, then yes, it is wrong. But other than that, there is nothing wrong with using a gameshark. It doesn't make you less of a gamer. If anything, it makes you more of one because you're having fun.

Shouldn't have wasted your time, any talking about game cheating devices will get the thread deleted. Even if Game Genies aren't around anymore.
Still, don't get the American NES only rule on the Legacy board, though.
I posted in a thread about Dawn. Days later, NOA uses it as an excuse to ban me.
The ban was about a thread on Power On about coffee. I guess NOA thought I was trying to be funny, and since they saw I had posted in a thread about Dawn (during the Dawn fad) and had made a thread about coffee, they automatically assumed the worst.
