I had an E-reader (just threw it out because no one wanted it and I lost all my cards)
Otherwise: SNES w/ Mario All-Stars, DK Country 1-3, F-Zero, Zelda: ALTTP, TMNT Tournament Fighters (Donatello is cheap as all hell), and some wierd Pac-Man game that doesn't involve eating dots

It's not even a platformer...it's some wierd point and click adventure. Pac-Man walks around the town and you shoot a slingshot and whatever you hit he'll interact with. The first mission is to find a glass for Baby Pac's milk, I know where it is but half the time I accidentally knock it over and I get a game over...which intercourse in sucks. I still can't figure out the second level because Pac-Man always falls off the darn cliff XD

You're funny. It's overpriced because it's a world-renowned and overrated game, not because it has a limited quantity. It was printed just as much as any other Square Enix SNES game, yet costs more than most other ones. Some games are indeed expensive because they're "rare," but rest assured that SMRPG isn't one of them. It's like a better version of FF7's case: an overhyped game that's overpriced because of an enormous fanbase.

By the way, when it was released really has nothing to do with how many people across the world actually own it. Do you have any idea how many copies of Mario Bros./Duck Hunt I've seen? I can't even count how many I saw just at one thrift store.

At least it's a more interesting game than FF7 X_X;;
I'd rather pay more money for Mario RPG than that game due to the fact I think FF7 took a step backward's in terms of gameplay, but alas, the fanboys must have their Cloud and Sephiroth...
I was looking for a Chrono Trigger game until they announced the DS game...

Oh, I thought it was rare because of a limited production run compounded with the fact that it has a huge fanbase.

I guess not.

Just download the rom, it's not worth $40 for a 10 year old game that's basically unchanged, even with multiplayer (somehow) and one extra optional dungeon.

Limited, yes, because all game production runs are limited, but Mario RPG's run was not limited to the point where it could be considered very "rare" at all, because it's really not all that uncommon of a game. Really. The production wasn't slowed all that much just because of the N64's release. Mario RPG didn't take as big of a hit as...say, Kirby's Dreamland 3 or something like that. While Mario RPG never saw a PAL release, it was still produced in large quantities here in the States as well as in Japan.

If you consider that "rare," then okay, but honestly it's so gosh darn easy to get hundreds of copies of the game all to yourself just through ebay. I don't consider that "rare."

I also have those Lammy and Rammy dolls.

That's rare?
Nope, it's common and worth like $9. Those figurines are worth something, though.

You ever get that Lammy clock, BTW?

Actually, in the case of Zelda games, the cartridges that AREN'T gold are the rare ones.

I just wish I didn't kill my Link figure like I did.. ;-;  I never realized how easy heads pop off of toys.  It happened to my other Link toy that I got when OoT came out.

No. D<  We're probably going to have to call the gosh darn store to order the clock.
Bastards..

Oh, what about those Zelda GC games?  OoT featuring the Master Quest, and the Collector's Edition?

I had an E-reader (just threw it out because no one wanted it and I lost all my cards)
Otherwise: SNES w/ Mario All-Stars, DK Country 1-3, F-Zero, Zelda: ALTTP, TMNT Tournament Fighters (Donatello is cheap as all hell), and some wierd Pac-Man game that doesn't involve eating dots
Yeah, the Pac-Man platformers are weird.
It's not even a platformer...it's some wierd point and click adventure. Pac-Man walks around the town and you shoot a slingshot and whatever you hit he'll interact with. The first mission is to find a glass for Baby Pac's milk, I know where it is but half the time I accidentally knock it over and I get a game over...which f***in sucks. I still can't figure out the second level because Pac-Man always falls off the dang cliff XD
PAC-MAN TWO. I BEAT IT.

That's mostly because everyone wants Sephy to be their bishie, not because it's rare. It's just...oh god...so overhyped, overrated, etc. Words cannot express how much the price on that game has risen just because of how popular it's gotten.

If Square would quit releasing poop that reminds everyone of FF7, then we wouldn't have such an outrageous price on the game. I'm really sick of it.

Honestly, every Final Fantasy game released after 7 reminds people of 7 because in their opinion, it doesn't live up to "the best game ever".

Yeah, I suppose that's true. Regardless, I'm sick of all the FF7 games. Even if I don't think it's the best game ever, I still do want a copy of FF7 because even I can admit that it's a good game, but because of all the floundering fanboys all over the net, I haven't been able to get a copy at a decent price.

Meanwhile, the other Square RPGs on the PS1 are all around $10-25, like they should be.

theres far more than just the number.

if you're a sequence breaker (like meee!!!!) the PC version is utter poop.

Major Differences:

1. You can't scan dash anymore.
2. the plasma beam door is locked until you get the grapple beam

and because of these two, it means that the game goes slower, you can't skip boost ball anymore, you have to pick up the feckin grapple beam (useless item), etc, etc, etc.

NTSC Metroid Prime is a glitcher's heaven.  PC Metroid Prime is MP2 in the MP case.  In otherwords, a linear Prime game.  which sucks.

if you're a sequence breaker (like meee!!!!) the PC version is utter s***.

I know what the differences are. Most of those glitches were fixed in the PC version, namely the Exploitable Ones. (D:)

You're a sequence breaker? <3

yep.  are you a child of M2K2 as well? :P

I used to be, then I was banned for some reason lol

the name I went by was Lazylen.

I discovered the Thardus room escape w/o spider ball, but nothing else lol.
A child of who?

Lazylen...I've heard that name before.

You did? I found it by curiosity.

Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast is pretty rare.

The one for GC is also rare seeing how not a single video game store around me has a copy >_<

I have one of those N64 Millennium 2000 controllers or whatever you wanna call it.  Only.. 1000 of them are there?

I have Pokemon Box for GCN (case, disc, special ruby/sapphire memory card).

I have a Panasonic Q.

And I have other neat stuff I guess.. (just got my Power Glove recently!).. but I dunno how "rare" any of it is.  I think the other stuff I listed above qualifies though. =)

All of that is pretty rare, I wish I had a Panasonic Q and a Power Glove. D:

Oh, does the first US Version of Metroid Prime count?

yep.  I was about to mention that.  I have the NTSC copy as well.
What's the difference?

Yeah, Ekarderif had been looking for a reason to ban me since day 1, and I think he found it that day.  At least I think he had power to do so...

Yeah, I think that someone else had found it before me though.

but my major contribution was in Metroid Prime Hunters.  I was the original discoverer of the Arcterra shortcut (kill the boss, exit through the arcterra door to arcterra 2, grab the imperialist, escape through the teleporter) which is now used in all of the speedruns.

I'm also on SDA, and I've been pursuing a Fable run for a long, long time, but I've never had a stable route, because I keep finding improvements, and because of such, I haven't gotten around to buying a DVD Recorder yet :\

plus OoB was outlawed until this year.

Also,  I was Lazylen on a number of websites and games.
