Instead of just making a simple headset they had to make some wierd thing that sits straight on the TV "So the the whole room can get involved in the conversation." I don't want my little brothers running and screaming through the game room, and ruining the whole thing. I want some headphones and a simple mic, not this really inconvenient crap. >:(
Seriously? Wow.
My house is so loud, that will suck :D
I never thought of it that way.
It does sound inconvenient, but my house isn't that loud, so I'm not too worried.
Don't worry.
Third party headsets are a shoe-in.
Yeah.
Plus, what if your parents walk in? You can't really control what they say. :O

I have my own room, I just don't have my own Wii/TV that I don't have to share with siblings.

I have my own room/tv/Wii and everything. My family is just really loud :P
It shouldn't be too hard to make a headset. I know I was intending to stay third-party free this generation, but I'd rather play The Conduit without worrying about whoever hears me hearing my grandma talking loudly.
Yeah that sucks. I don't like other people hearing my conversations. :(
You think Nintendo would know better by now.

Yeah, you'd think... But, I guess not.
I like this thing. I hate headsets because they break so easily, and if made durable, the speakers usually suck.

So you want to hear other people... as well as their mother, father, sister, little baby brother, dog, heating system, button jamming, TV crackling, with irish folkdance music playing in the background?
Wow, I'm glad I'm not you.
that idea kind of sucks. hopefully it will be optional.
Wait, don't we alrady have enough sitting on our T.V. as it is?
And, what about background noise? I'd rather not have just about everything go right to everyone else. It'd ruin it.
Hopefully 3rd parties step up and make an actual headset that is compatible with the games that will be able to use... whatever it is.
3rd Party knock-off headset ftw!
Lulz, Nintendo doesn't put much thought in their products.

lol this thing will obviously be only for people who are your friends in the game (FC exchange thing) and none of my friends have any of those things besides the typical, and those are quiet.
If you do have friends like that, then wow, glad I'm not you

bolded is exactly why nintendo is the laughing stock of the hardcore gaming community.
