I use iTunes for music, and VLC for most videos.
Windows Media Player 11 with the CCCP, plays everything pretty well besides HDMKV's.
If something won't work, I'll throw it at VLC and see what happens.
Also, didn't we have a thread like this a while ago?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Windows Media Player? I dunno.
Winamp for music, VLC or MPC for video.
Itunes
VLC
and whatever the website uses... I don't watch media independently D:
Windows Media Player 11
WMP11
iTunes.
Yes I use iTunes. Get over it.
Audio: WMP11
Video: MPC
I downloaded VLC just so I can listen to FLAC files.
Audio: WMP and occasionally Winamp if I feel like it
Video: Zoom Player
WMP mainly for music, since I don't like the new Winamp (intercourse ing AOL software can kiss my ass).
I use Zoomplayer for most of my videos though.
Windows Media Player
Media Player Classic.
I don't like any of the fancy stuff for other players, and I haven't had codec problems since I downloaded the CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) which bundled Media Player Classic.
I haven't tried VLC yet, but it seems similar to MPC at least in interface and format support. I'll probably use it whenever I use Linux.
iTunes for music, and both WMP and VLC for videos, depending on which I happen to feel like opening at the time.
Windows media player 7
back when I cared I used WinAmp
a fragged XP PC and a new old PC from 1999 later, I use WMP 9
Music : Winamp
Video : nothing D:
iTunes
VLC, but I don't play media often...
I use iTunes. <3
Banshee (Linux clone of iTunes) for music, and "Movie Player" for videos.
