I've been to one 6 years ago for my grandparents' 50th anniversary, one three years ago for my aunt's 50th birthday, and I'm going to one today for my grandma's birthday (same from the 50th anniv). Also, my aunt that lives in Nevada is came out with her grand daughter (cousin wasn't married when she had the kid), Kayla. Thread on her later.
I don't know. Never really been to a "supprise" party. But the last birthday party I went to was my grandparents 50th annivarsary cruise.
Last party I went to was my friends keg party last night :D
The last surprise party I'd been to is probably about... 10 yeas ago.
I was actually supposed to go to a party last night, but I pulled a muscle in my back or something, so I decided not to go.
The ones I remember were such lame "surprises" that they don't count. The person had to know about it :P
Never went to one.
I don't remember the last time we did something like this, but usually we make the person who's going to be surprised come into the room, not expecting the surprise. Like, we tell the person something like "Hey, the professor's here and he wants to see you right now", which would take the person's mind off of the birthday. Then we present the cake and candles and he realizes it's a surprise party.
Surprise parties aren't surprises when people expect them. You'd best throw the party a couple of months after the person's birthday.
Never been to one.
I'm not much of a party guy. ;D
Never. We don't do surprise parties.
I've never been to a surprise party in my life.
