I have a desktop and a macbook pro.
I don't feel like trying to hook my Wii up to my TV, what is the best way of hooking the wii up to either one of my computers?
err...TV capture card and some RCA couplers from Radioshack?

Mine was $70, but I've heard they run as cheap as $40.
Try to find a cheap TV capture device. The only things you need to make sure it has:
Composite video in (that yellow plug from the Wii)
Linux and/or OS X drivers. (many will support only Windows)
Connection type that you can use (I think I've seen USB, PCI, and AGP. Saying you have a laptop, I'd reccommend USB if you can find one that supports Mac/Linux)
You also probably want audio, so just find an adapter to connect the white and red RCA connectors into your computer's Line-In port. I see them all the time at places like Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc. for like $2

Mine was USB, drivers only supported Windows, somewhat glitchy, and $20.
Also, what format it captures videos in depends on a program you're using to record them. In JMV's case, he only wants to stream, not record.
My Method: Ulead Video Studio Software Package
Difficulty: Simple
Software: It may or may not work with other OS other than Windows, but it's difficult to say as there are converters/adapters out there that can help Mac run Windows software. Some of these are free online.
Equipment: The package comes with a device that plugs into the USB port and is an A/V input at the other end. This would allow you to hook up the Wii (or any other device, like a VCR or DVD player) to the computer as if it was a TV.
Features: The computer would treat the device as a Webcam, and could then be streamed online via some sort of hosting site or even through any IM service that allows webcams. The Video Studio software would allow you to record the A/V and edit it to create your own movies. You can also import other videos, sounds, music, pictures, and other things to enhence the video. I also has other film editing effects like transistions, distortions overlays, text, ect.
Cost: Unfortunitly I purchased this a few years ago and so I do not know what the current price might be nor do I remember what it was. Ulead has their own website which would probably have the information, but you can probably find it at Best Buy as that's where I found mine.

that device is called a TV CAPTURE DEVICE, aka TV TUNER. Same thing me and Zovi mentioned, except I really wouldn't doubt it being overpriced compared to other ones.
Well excuse me for using more generic terms and describing it better for someone, such as myself, who doesn't call it a "TV CAPTURE DEVICE" or "TV TUNER". To me, TV Capture Device sounds like it captures video off of a TV rather than an A/V Cable port.
