Option 3: Linux

I hated Macs for some reason, and now, I'm kinda intrigued in getting one somewhere in the near future.
Which one should I get if I had like 4K?
it all depends what you will use it for
Here is my story. My one brother has a Windows XP now a Vista laptop. My other brother has a Mac book pro. I'm going to get a Ubuntu Dell XPS (assuming they still make those when I'm 18)
Windows-everything is out for it
Mac-Easy and almost no troubles
Linux-No troubles and you can configure it to however you want.
(I'm only putting pros and I know what happens when I put cons)

No, probably home use and school use.
Ability to hide porn is AWESOME.

Windows: People are always whining about it, making you hate it more.
Mac: Extremely overpriced
Linux: People are always screaming in your face about how good it is, making you almost not want to try it.
rite
Also, I wouldn't get a laptop ever again. If I had to, I'd probably get a Windows laptop.
It's all about what you're going to use it for, if you're just going to use it for general purposes like storing your music, browsing the internet and writing stuff for school a MacBook would do you fine.

That's what I use my HP Pavillion for.

Saw this coming...
After I get my laptop I'm probably going to dual boot with Windows. So thats always an option.
Windows.
Macs are expensive, underpowered, and very prone to being stolen.
With 4K, you can afford to buy all three with enough money left to buy a few girls. Keep in mind, though, that you'll spend more money on the Mac than the Windows, whatever you buy to run Linuk (probably an EEE), and the girls combined.
Getting a Windows doesn't let you install all 3 operating systems, but at least you can add the one (Linux) and still have Windows if you need it.
If you get a computer with Linux installed on it already, it seems kinda backwards putting Windows on it, haha.
If you get a Mac, then you can have all 3 operating systems yes? And it's the only way to have that particular OS.
Personally, if I had the money, I'd get a Mac. It's the only one I don't have yet and I want to triple-boot, lol. If you couldn't tell, triple-booting is my goal/priority and then you have the best of all 3 worlds.
But you just want one right? Unless you really want a Mac or wanna try something new, get a Windows one and just put Linux on it if you feel the need to. I don't know how hardware customizable and software compatible Macs are.. so.. good luck if you get one but you can always add more operating systems to it, yeah?
With 4K I'd get a Mac or a high-end Windows system.
I would say Windows. But I've never really used anything else. I just watched my brother using his Mac.
I don't see what's so bad about Windows, I like it.
LOL, my computer is win! :D

1. LOL VIRUS'
2. ROFLMFAO IE (which I never use btw, cause of slow and security holes in it)
3. Vista: Games aren't compatible ::) (Hello, Dippoops, something called 'Compatibility Mode')
4. If you have like 9 Browser tabs and/or 9 Applications running at once, computer's performance goes down severely.
go for windows.
macs are only good if you are going into the field of photography, movies, or journalism, and although Linux is fun to mess around with, it has zero hardware and software support so unless you are extremely savvy you will not be able to get anything to work.....however if all you are using it for is Internet browsing and office stuff it should be fine as long as you can get your printer to work with it.

Nvidia supports and I think Dell and HP support... I say Dell and HP because you can buy Linux computers from Dell and I have a Linux CD for HP

1. You have to actually try to get a virus.
2. Firefox
3. XP
4. Maybe if you're using 256MB of RAM.

Oh, sorry, the computer glitched out.
What I meant to post was:
"LOL, my computer is win :D.
Something about windows being awesome.
Something about how you should get it.
Something about how much I love pie. (optional)"
Stupid school computers and thier glitchiness! >:(

I heard that on macs, there's some thing you can do to look at EVERYTHING you've EVER done on it.... I don't know if you can erase that though...
