Title: Yay, my Virtual Boy arrived.
Post by: Tupin on September 09, 2008, 11:20:00 AM
I bought it on eBay a few days ago, and it just came in.   =D

I've played it for a little bit, as it came with three games (Wario Land, Teleroboxer, and Mario Clash) and they all are awesome.

Surprisingly, the biggest problem with the system is the neck strain you get from playing it for extended periods.

Have you ever played the Virtual Boy?

No I have not. (Wasn't Mario Clash the 2nd worst Mario game? Then again, it doesn't look bad at all.)

And again, try not to burn your eyes out. D=

I did once. It wasn't great (headache argh) but Clash was alright IMO....

Also, not the WORST system I've played (Wonderswan...*shudder*)

The Wonderswan only had one game worth getting: Gunpey.

Which is on the DS and PSP now.

Clash is pretty good, even if B is jump and A throws.

All of the Virtual Boys 14 USA games are great, with the exception of Waterworld.

Yes, I have one but it's in storage now. I had Mario Clash an Tetris 3D. I liked both of them.

Best way to describe Waterworld: It looks like s***.

"...it does look like s***!"

If my retinas burst into flames playing Wario Land, it's a good way to go.  :P

Waterworld is s***. It's fun for like two minutes, but then it gets boring.

Also, Nayrman, why do you hate the Wonderswan?

It'd be cool to try one day though.

The only problem with the system is the design, you have to lie down to play it comfortably because there's no headstrap.

Oh yeah, and it's only in red and black. I wish Nintendo would make a new Virtual Boy in color with a headstrap, it would be awesome.

How is that surprising? The thing is intercourse ing huge and everyone should know by now that it strains your neck.

And the whole "hurts your eyes" thing is bullpoop, for anyone that was going to post that.

I know, I thought the biggest problem was going to be eye strain, not neck strain. It looks smaller than it really is in pictures.

Anyway, it doesn't hurt your eyes at all.

I had one for a while when it came out, got it from my mom's boyfriend at the time.

Mario Tennis on it was pretty fun actually.

One question: Have you been playing long enough that your vision has gotten a little weird? Like seeing red in unusual places?

It doesn't hurt your eyes at all, the only thing you experience is the feeling that you get from going from a really dark place to a really bright place.

Also, my Virtual Boy needs repairs, as the right screen doesn't work. D:

It's still playable though.
