Title: Quick question about watches
Post by: L10 on September 18, 2008, 04:24:26 PM
I usually never take off my watch, but the $40 quicksilver watch I bought in 2006 finally fell apart, well the strap did.

I want to get a watch that'll last a few years, maybe longer than this one but I don't know what to get and where to get it.

I don't really want to spend more than $60...any suggestions?(I tried making a new strap, it works but I hate the ghetto look of it)
a bit out of your price range, but this thing's worth it.  I absolutely love mine.  I have the blue one.

...btw, that image has the incorrect logo on the watch face.  It's not made by Champion.  It's made by OI, or "The One".

I got some $15 metal watch on our cruise ship, and it's worked well for me. Analog and no alarm/day thing, but all I need it for is to tell time. It looks cool too. :)

That watch has the aesthetics of something that would come out of a Burger King kids meal.

Just get a good waterproof digital watch.

psst, this watch lets you cheat.  If you don't know how to read binary, you can add up the numbers that are lit up since that's how you read binary in the first place.

Sweet Jesus that watch is so ugly, i'll help you find another one ^__^

This is what I have: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=190184&catid=121895&aid=280302&aparam=df5628

It was only like $50, forgot where I got it. I've been meaning to get a new one, but this one is still pretty good. I would give it a try.

But if your willing to spend a bit, I reccomend: http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=57641&CatID=57641&Grptyp=PRD&ItemId=152c06e

Or: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_04412514000P?vName=Gifts&cName=GiftableItems&sName=All%20Giftable%20Items&psid=MSNSHOPPING01&sid=IPx20070925x00002b

That second one is pretty nice, but still with some of that ugliness from your old watch which you seem to enjoy ;)
