Title: Uh, oops
Post by: ThePowerOfOne on September 20, 2008, 04:29:56 PM
I just got my cell phone bill and it was over $500 XD  I ordered a ton of ringtones (I change my ringtone more than once a week D:) and a lot of extra services, not to mention I like to talk on my cell phone too much :P

At least I didn't get my cell phone taken away :)

When was the last time you got a big cell phone bill? (I hate these kinds of threads, but i'm bored D:)

I've never had a huge bill.

My brother, on the other hand, racked up about $100 by texting too much.

How the intercourse  do you afford this?

AT&T stopped billing me, but I still get service. So as far as I'm concerned, they must think I'm a really swell guy to be giving me free service.

" Hey, mom, I racked up the phone bill to $500 in texting."
" Sure thing, son! By the way, how do you like your new pony? Because I hear there's a sale, and I think I'm going to buy another for your brother. Christmas is just around the corner!"

I don't like ponys. Or horses much. I prefer snakes or a cat or something.

But you were close ^__^

As far as I know she doesn't have a cellphone...well she never has one out, she seems not to be the typical high schooler

They probably have good reason to give you free service. You are Dill after all. And after they saw what happened back in the winter of '86 with your enemy that attacked you, I'm sure they're a bit afraid actually.

I've never gone over because I never need to. Plus I can communicate telepathically. Though sometimes it is quicker to call somebody...

[insert 'idk my bff jill?' joke here]

500$? I think my parents would probably have disowned me.

i went 100 texts overboard last month, but that was only 17 bucks worth :\

but then again, im on a poopty plan (120 texts a month) with a poopty cell phone provider (rogers), and i need to keep in contact with my roomies (not terribly easy on 120 texts a month, when they're all on MTS).

my parents got mad off at me for just that.  500 dollars overboard?  what the intercourse ?  we're really wealthy too, but i don't see why your parents wouldn't get mad at you for being 500 intercourse ing dollars overboard.  what is that, 3000 texts?

Over $500?
WTF?

The most for me was maybe about $30 over in texting and they were mad about that.

On a side note,
Is there any cheap way to get ringtones on your phone without buying it from the shop or getting them from friends?

I've never once gone over...

Unlimited texting, $15 a month.

I don't talk on the phone, if I need to call someone, I get to the point and that's that.

Okay, how do you spend $500 in one month on one cell phone?

Over 15 pages of calls, many over 20 minutes, a TON of text messages, over 20 ringtones, fees for ringtone services, etc...

You need to learn to spend your money better. $500 in texting could easily be turned into $500 in drug trafficking and liquor.

I would have sold the phone, given you a good slap across the face, and made you work for the $500 back.

I'm gonna be a great parent.

Its not MY money. I haven't spent a cent of the money i've made though work and stuff, i'm saving that for when i'm older to get a good car and what not. While i'm still living with my parents, I might as well take advantage of it. This is the only time I will get to spend money on what I want, untill i'm 18 and move out and have bills of my own. I know how to manage my own money, my parents really don't mind if I spend some of theirs.

Besides, they knew what they were getting into when they bought me a cell :P

I haven't had my first bill yet, but seeing as I have only two people to text and they never text me and I have nobodyto cal and I don't download anything with it and..

you get the point, it won't be much of a problem, unless they charge me for using it as an mp3 player
