The Monster Race Balthin.

Not just because they can breed with demons, angels, and humans but also because their bodies go through a sort of hyper evolution in which they adopt different characteristics based on their environment over a few short years of life.

Of course there are numerous drawbacks based on your genealogy.

In Zefrank's description of his version of the Ken Burns effect: "It'd be really cool. It would start real small then get REAL big, then it would get small again. Then there would be lightning, and guys with capes, and a tree that looked like a crotch! Now that's cool."

As far as D&D is concerned, I'd like to be a fully-intelligent and self-governing/independent prismatic golem.  Freaking awesome.

it's technically more like an item actually.  Spellcasters with some sort of special ancestry or whatever can make one for something like 50,000 gold for the parts.  It's usually like a pet but sentient enough to do crazy stuff.  It is able to shoot multicolored lasers, each laser doing different things or dealing different damage.  And it's a LOT of damage.
