it's technically more like an item actually. Spellcasters with some sort of special ancestry or whatever can make one for something like 50,000 gold for the parts. It's usually like a pet but sentient enough to do crazy stuff. It is able to shoot multicolored lasers, each laser doing different things or dealing different damage. And it's a LOT of damage.
