Soo, I had a huge letdown the other day. Gather round the campfire and I'll tell you this dreadful tale.
My cousin whom had been living with us for a while now, got into a fight with my mom and moved on so my mom was all depressed one night...and she was apologizing to us because she let him come to live with us in the first place or whatever...and so this is how the discussion went.
Mom - "So I was Christmas shopping with your Aunt Patty the other day and I was goona get something but Patty convinced me not to. I didn't know if you would want it"
Me - "What was that..."
Mom - "Rock Band for Wii"
Me - *Eyes Light Up* "Yeah I would want that!!"
Mom - "Want an early Christmas present?"
Me - *Sitting there thinking omg...she got me rockband... "I guess..."
Mom - *goes and digs a game out of the cupboard and holds it behind her back*
She hands it to me.
"House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return for Wii"
......
She sitting there smiling like she just totally made my night...
I'm sitting there like...Wtf is this...
She's like, "see I think of you...you like it?"
I'm trying with all my might to force a smile, say yeah...pretend to be excited.
But can you not tell me how huge of a letdown that is? I played the game for the first time tonight and it sucks balls. All it is is a ripoff of a really old Arcade Game, plus Wii motion sensing.
I was utterly disappointed...even more disappointed than when she got me Narnia for DS and Happy Feet for Wii.
Gotta have a talk with her about getting me games based off movies. THEY ALL SUCK.
And if no ones ever heard of it, or she's never heard me talk about it... (Cuz trust me I talk about games that I want)
Don't get it god darnit.

Maybe she got you Rock Band too, but she's saving it for Christmas.
The Wii version of Rock Band sucks anyway.
By the way, those really old arcade games are hella fun. That is all.
Ask for money or gift cards or just specific games then.
its the tough that counts?

Although spear checking is convenient, you stall knead to lead your toasts for mistakes.

I would take a high quality fedora over those games any day. But to each his own. Or as phatyo might say, "tough eat is one".

The online in Rock Band sucks. I understand there's no DLC, but they're at least half-fixing that with the track packs.
There's nothing wrong with having Rock Band for Wii, it'd be stupid to buy a 360 or PS3 JUST for Rock Band/Rock Band 2.

No. It's just worse than the others, it's still a great game, get it right.

A thousand pardons, my sweet! I should have known to consult the greatest opinion of them all before making such a wild assumption. The fact that your disagreement is present completely throws my statement into the wild.
With that out of the way, allow me to prove you wrong. What was the #1 hit during 1894? Don't look it up. You should know this, as you say, music is timeless. But what of the best hat of 1894? The Rifkin bowler. Creating by none other than Robert P. Rifkin, a professor at Cambridge. He created the hat because he wanted the airiness of the traditional Scottsford bowler, but with less brim, for those who were in cloudy areas. This hat's fame quickly spread, and was worn well into the 1900's by magistrates. To this day you can find the Rifkin bowler in several hat shops. I, myself, inherited one from a relative of mine. But unlike most Rifkin bowlers, which are brown, this was navy blue. But then again, the man who wore this hat bought it far after the hat was originally constructed, and by that time, it was not unnatural to see a wide array of colours.

Do not drive yourself with your follies, as it was simply a misunderstanding. The heart of the matter is that we now see eye to eye, and nothing else is important.
Maybe she wanted to crush your dreams like so many insects by eating the poisen that looks all so good.
(Really trying to make a somehwat witty analogy there)
You still got a game for free. I'd just play and enjoy. Appreciate, man.
But yeah, I've had those experiences too, where you think it's something awesome, and it's all... meh.
Maybe she's saving Rock Band for Christmas?
My mom usually asks me what games I want. She'll be like "So...any good games you want?"
Well she's buying me Guitar hero world tour for my birthday (She already reserved it and is getting it on the 26th), and she's just goona give me that early considering how badly i want it.
Rock Band 2 will be out by Christmas for Wii....
But I don't think she'll get me that...
More excited to see what my dad will get me this year (He's gotten me a bunch of good stuff)

Uh, having a taste in music doesn't have a whole lot to do with not wanting Rock Band. There's a big difference between pressing buttons to music and sitting back and listening to your favorite tunes.
And actually, there's a lot of poopty music on it anyway.

My parents never do that. I just use the money I get from Christmas to buy games, and make my parents buy something more expencive :)
I told them to get me a 120GB Zune and the new Nikon COOLPIX camera, much easier than letting them pick out presents D:
Why did you use the subjective case of the pronoun who? Anyways, sucks for you. I feel bad for your mom; she was just trying to do something nice for you. You should at least pretend to like it.
