Title: SSBB intro.
Post by: Red on October 22, 2008, 12:22:26 PM
I thought it was rather poorly done. Meelee seemed seemed to have a more "gripping" intro. What do you think?

Maybe because they used SSE's cutscenes to make it epic?

I think they could've made it better. If they had used the same concept as the cutscenes in the SSE, it would've been better, but I think they already used that up with their trailers and such.

I actually thought it was decent, just the end was corny.

I felt that it was made very good.
OF course things like that can always be better but it was atleast Epic.
IMO

80% of that was SSE Cutscenes, which felt a bit hollow for an Intro. Melee's Intro, IMO, is much better, so I prefer that one.

Melee's had thought into it. Brawl's intro (like many other things in the game) seem like it could have been done by a 5 year old.

Nicely put.

It just doesn't have that... idk... "Holy crap I'm playing Melee!"  feel to it

Well, now that I remember, there were even extra characters in SSBM intro, can you name them?

Brawls intro= ok but could be better

Melees intro= pretty good but not as good as...

64s intro= best of the 3

brawl had a great intro but the end with the ship flying away was unfurfilling.

I thought it looked nice, but it didn't have the same feel as Melee's.
Most of the intro was just made up of SSE scenes, which we had already seen dozens of times.

Melee just had a better feel of different worlds coming together.

Samurai Goroh, Wolf, and like half of the Pokemon at the time.

Melee's was just the intro, no cutscenes used elsewhere in the game, i think they should've done that with brawl, and 64's was is cool too

It lacked the sort of "feeling" that was in the Melee and 64 intros. The end seemed a bit lazy, using 2-D images of the characters in a lineup staring at the sea without moving. It could've been done loads better.

Wait, isn't that ending a little bit too random? :D

It felt a little epic when you first play it, but it gets VERY boring after that.

Well, the intro could've been better but those sse cutscenes were insane.  i wish there was a movie for all the characters though like there was in melee
