Normally I don't like posting my problems because my problems are usually nothing more than trite inconveniences in my life but I have to get this one off me chest.
My cat's dying. The kidney disease is causing the other organs to start failing and she's losing motor control and sensory perception. She's been having trouble seeing, she can barely walk, and she eats very little. I doubt she'll make it to the end of the week.
18 years Noel has been my cat and now I'm about to lose her. I wish I had something funny to say at the end of this but I don't.
Maybe next time.
sorry dude, I know what it's like to lose a pet
;_;
Stay with her to the very end and give her love D:
Sorry man...that sucks...;_;
Stay with her to the very end, like Zovi said. Make her last days count.
She's... gone.
While I was here typing at College Library my mom took Noel to the vet and they had to put her down.
My bro just IM'ed me that my mom called him about it. Now I'm going to skip my last class for the day and help my mom out. She's taken this harder than anyone else.
I'll see you guys when I see ya.
T____T
I'd be so furious with my mom if we had a cat and she put him or her to sleep. I find euthenasia, no matter what, entirely inhumane.
But still, I grieve for Noel.
.....I'm sorry...that's about all I can say...
;____;
This makes me think about Gizmo...he's getting kind of old...
NO GIZMO I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AAAAAAAA
Anyways, I feel for you. I've had to put 2 of my dogs down due to old age/disease...

we had to put one of my cats down, if we didn't the tumor in his mouth would have spread preventing from eating and causing him to slowly starve to death, would that have been better?

I hate getting into this argument, especially when people put it that way, but in my opinion yes, I have found no exception to my feelings about this topic.

They won't do it to people but they will to pets? Personally animals that become part of the family should be treated like family. If it is just a stray then put it down I supose.
Aww...that really sucks. :(
I remember my old dog now...he had a heart tumor...
That sucks, I've never lost a pet (other than goldfish, which I still was sad over the last time we got rid of our goldfish). Feel better.
My kitty is 6 or so now, so she has around 10 more years.

Well, I consider all euthenasia to be murder.
My English teacher would tell you to be with it when it dies. So it's as happy as possible in it's last few minutes. I feel so bad for you.
I hate losing pets ;-;
My dog is six years old, but she has allergies and a bad leg.....
She's so sweet, she loves everyone.
Cocker Spaniels are great dogs, they just don't live as long as you want them to. :(
But yeah, I'm sorry.
My dog's alive, but lives in Utah with my Aunt and I live in Texas.
Our landlords won't let us have him :'(
That really sucks. I'm so sorry. :(
I've lost birds and I've lost fish, but I really have never lost a "bigger" pet like a cat or a dog.
Luckily, my dog is alive and well.
I don't even wanna think about the day he dies. :(
I used to have a hamster named Fuzzles. He was badass.
I was like "Bitch, why?" when he died.
I too know how you feel.
I took in a stray cat named "Sherbet" a long time ago.
It was THE Cutest orange Kitty cat with Cinnamon swirls over it's body!
It died shortly after Hurricane Gustav.... I'm not exactly sure what the TRUE cause of it was...
but I held it in my arms until it's last breath....
I wonder if anybody seen a young black man cry? :'(

I'm really going to miss that cat.

I LOVE orange cats! They are always the cutest and most fun :3
And that sucks. I've only lost a hamster and a rat, both just from being old. Well, I lost a bird once, but I think its still alive. It was on my shoulder walking with me one day and the stupid little Mexican kid next door scared it away. I haven't seen it in years. I hope my snake dosn't die on me any time soon :'(

Because I got his wings cliped (Yeah, they didn't do a very good job ::)) and he was used to going outside on my shoulder. But that stupid little kid got right in his face and scared him, and he flew. I was SOOOO close to knocking that little brat out >_>
Besides, what kind of bird owner just keeps his bird inside all day everyday? Thats messed up, birds are supposed to be out flying.
I went online and I found a pic of Exactly of what my Kitty looked like.

It was so young when it died...
I want to get another one, but I better not.
*sighs*

I'm sorry. That sucks to lose something so close to you. Make it happy in it's last moments!
[poop hole]18 years is a long time. Time to go.[/poop hole]
Sorry about you're cat...
=(
Ahem, before you act all defeatist, have you even tried to get said cat to the vet?
If so, I'm guessing they said they can save the poor thing, huh?
If they couldn't, I might cry... okay, maybe not cry, but I give my condolences.
Just give the thing comfort and care. Let it live the last days of it's life in comfort like none other.
[oh crap/feel like an idiot moment]Uh, dang, sorry to hear it had to be put down. Reminds me of when we had to put down our next door neighbors dog (I was really close to it. It was like another friend) due to such sever arthritis that it was tearing... poor thing[/oh crap/feel like an idiot moment]
It's alright red.
man that sucks my dog died a few months ago. :(
