Wii Menu 3.4 contains the following:
An enhancement was made to the Wii console's Parental Controls.
A compatible USB keyboard can be used with the Mii Channel.
The Wii User Agreement, which includes the Wii Privacy Policy, has been updated. Because the updated agreement applies to you and your use of the Wii Network Service, you should view the updated version by clicking on the Wii icon located on the lower-left portion of the Wii Channel menu, selecting Wii Settings, accessing the Internet setting, and selecting User Agreements.

What does mean for homebrew for the Wii?
quote from qJ.net
Nintendo's really cracking down hard on piracy, and on its warpath is trampling on Wiibrew grounds as well. The latest firmware update has gone live, with amendments to the Nintendo User Agreement, and stringent homebrew blocks.
According to the changes in the agreement form, the new firmware update will automatically remove modded save files. Not only that, but it also blocks the Twilight Hack version 0.1beta1. Not everything is gloom and doom though, it does really improve other features of the Wii. Here's what's new:
USB keyboard support in Mii Channel
Enhanced parental controls
Twilight Hack version 0.1beta1 cannot be copied to the console.
Improved SD card read/write speed
Improved disc reading
The Wiibrew community hasn't recovered fully from the last time they let out a firmware update blocking homebrew. The community managed to circumvent the update with a Wii Shop and IOS51 installer, but the update itself remained inaccessible to those who value their Wiibrew.
Yeah, also added to this new update was a change to the user end liscense agreement.
You understand that the Wii Console specifications and the Wii Network Service are constantly evolving and that we may update or change your Wii Console or the Wii Network Service in whole or in part, without notice to you. Such updates may be required for you to play new Wii games or continue to access the Wii Network Service. We may also upgrade, change, or terminate the Content or game software or may discontinue offering Products without notice to you.
This update blocks the twilight hack, some homebrew, and custom channels, so don't update your wii if you use homebrew. The last time nintendo tried to block the hacks with and update, the hacking community came out with a update that updated your wii without blocking the hacks in 8 hours. Nintendo is obviously trying hard to crack down on it.
Uh, this update doesn't block The Homebrew Channel if it's already installed. Or at least it hasn't for me and I've had it since yesterday.
Not the channel, some homebrew means some applications on the homebrew channel
Cool.Thank gosh we have wiiguy here, when I update my wii I never know what the update does lol.
Also I think nintendo should just support homebrew,I mean they can take away the emulators because I know they lose money that way but I mean all the other apps arent illegal or anything.
But they coould keep psp emulators to make sure sony looses money ;)

Yes, but the update will make it so it auto updates, and they may sometime have an update that deletes it. I will probably just get starfall and make it so I can play future games without having to update.

Makes it so it auto-updates? Where does it say that? I doubt it.
Well, I've been using homebrew with 3.4. Everything I've tried works, though I haven't tried anything involving DVDx, modifying the Wii System Menu itself, installing new channels, or Twilight Hack. And I haven't inserted any foreign discs although the regionfree disc launcher apps work as well now as before for me.
Things that still work and I've tried include Homebrew Channel (including automatically updating to a newer version), Wii Gecko (including cheat codes), Savegame Installer/Extractor, emulators, and other simple apps that don't mess with the Wii's internal memory.
I should upate then, i just hope it doesn't delorte my ssb64
