Title: What have you asked for Christmas (or whatever holiday you have... sorry!)?
Post by: The Seventh on November 19, 2008, 05:51:50 PM
Thought I'd make an original thread.
Or do you say it like What did you ask for for Christmas?  I have no clue...
I'm asking for...
Banjo Kazooie Nuts&Bolts (always liked games where you can make vehicles the way you want...)
Guitar Hero World Tour (for Wii, obviously...)
Kirby Super Star Ultra
A Semi-automatic M16
Poke'mon Ranger: Shadows of Almia

Sorry, but I would have made the list with more games but the M16 costs a lot (Usually around the 500-900 dollar range, depending on authenticity... funny thing, I know how operate on M16.)

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
Mirror's Edge
Order Up!
Sonic Unleashed (360)
Animal Crossing: City Folk
de Blob
Speed Racer (Wii)

Plus a bunch of retro games.

Speed Racer is actually surprisingly good, considering the quality of the movie.

For Chanukah *BAH STUPID HOLIDAY SEASON NONSENSE!* I basically asked for some stuff from that "True Swords" website. Gonna use it for fun with friends (nothing serious obviously) and costumes for next year's AWA *Ichigo if I can find the right costume XP *

I've asked for nothing but a family meal. We hardly have time for one anymore, and that's something I'd really like.

I hate our family dinners. I hate my sisters my sisters hate me and my parents and none of us are very talkative... *bleh*

I like having dinners with my family, there's only a few people that slightly annoy me, and they aren't in my immediate family.

Oh, and I guess my family's gift to themselves is getting new wood flooring.

Guitar Hero World Tour Drums (I bought the game a couple weeks ago, sadly its not all it lived up to be for me. I'd like to try the drums seriously. That way I can play with my friends without f*cking up my mad guitar skills)
guitar case for my sick strat guitar
Tony the Tiger T-shirt like the one Tourettes Guy has
Sum 41 T-shirt
The new Killers CD

there's no good games out now. BTW, have they made a Tony Hawk game for the Wii?

A 22-inch LCD TV, which I'm going to need next year, because my roommate is on a 3-2. My parents already bought it, it's nice, but the expectation is that I won't get anything else besides some clothes. That's fine, there's nothing I really want aside from RB2 this Christmas anyway.

An MP3 player was all I could come up with, and I don't really care if I get it or not.

Rock Band 2 for Wii, from my parents. I don't usually ask for gifts, just money.

I plan on buying myself...

60' HD TV for my room, my other one is being crappy
Gerald David Bauman Silver Double-headed Snake Ring
14K. Gold Hand Enameled Phoenix Necklace (That one is going to put a dent in my Christmas fund... $532 D:)
32GB iPod Touch

And thats it for now. I should have a little bit leftover for whatever.

I have quite a few things I want, but for some reason I'm annoyed that they're all related to electronics.

There has to be something else that I want!

MP8 was decent, but nothing special.

What kind of Wii game are you looking for?
If it's a mini-game compilation, I'd go for WarioWare: Smooth Moves.
I love that game.  ;D

Most of the stuff I actually want has to be imported from Japan, so that kind of is a problem...I really don't know what to ask for...except for maybe money or prepaid cards to shop online with, since only my sister and my brother-in-law would actually shop online for a gift.

As for gaming...to tell you the truth, I haven't really been excited about a game in a long time besides Stepmania and Touhou, and both of those are free and on PC (er...idk if Touhou is supposed to be free but idk how to buy it and it's so easy to torrent ^_^).

I want some jcore albums, but that brings us back to Internet-only since stores around here don't sell GOOD music for the most part (in other words, they sell the "popular" crap.  I want stuff, as a song by The Speed Freak states, "so underground that coal miners haven't heard it yet")...blah

...I really want a DDR mat but I can't get one because I have people under me (I live in a multifamily house)...

hm

I want more anime figurines D:

I want, uh...the full version of FL Studio?  Too expensive.  A laser light show system and accompanying smoke machine?  Too expensive.  A KORG Kaossilator effect manipulator?  Too expensive.  D:

Screw it I'll just ask for Best Buy gift cards like usual and see what they have there =w=

Well a nintendo exclusive of course because a multi system game is always better on the PS3 or 360.

I... do... not... recommend... Mario Party 8.  It's very fun at first, but quickly got VERY boring for me. But, then again, you might enjoy it.
Wii points card

Party String (For New Years)

Electric Pen (Press the button on it and it shocks you)

Other misc. things as well.
The rest seems like a good choice though.

However, that's my humble opinion.  You can ask for whatever you want.

Post by: Kilroy on November 20, 2008, 06:43:09 PM
I've asked for a lot of things, and been told that a lot of them are out of reach, which makes sense, because of a long series of events that happened last year.

New TV (I currently have a 6-8 year old Mono TV. It's hated by every person who's used it or been around it. This is probably out of the question because of a long story, but can be summed up with "My grandma is insane")
Bass Guitar (I said this around August, and it may be the only gift [along with a few small things] that I'm getting.)
A new DS (I said this a year and a half ago, and it's probably going to be the "small thing" I just said >_> )
Animal Crossing Wii
Drawn to Life
Gears of War 2
Xbox Live Gold (It's running out on the 26th of December D: )

When I say small things, I basically mean the last 4 things. I'm very spoiled, and that can be blamed on my grandparents (specifically my grandma) giving me whatever I asked for reasons I don't want to go into due to length. I'm probably getting a lot of stuff that I didn't ask for, but my family just thinks "hey marcus would really like that", and I end up liking those gifts more than the gifts that I ask for <_<

Don't listen to anybody who says the controlls on Wii totally suck, they aren't that bad, at all. Mabe while battling it could be a little better, but big whoop, the game is still really great. Best Wii game, hands down.

I'm aware of the greatness. I've playing it on the PS2, but I stopped after a while because my brother went back to college during that time. And it would be better for me to start over.
