Those of you that know me, know that I'm a huge Professor Layton fan. I do my weekly challenges, and eagerly await the sequel.

That is the revelation of the film, though. I must say, I didn't expect it, but I'm delighted.
Now, we've had Animal Crossing and Mario on film....so Layton should fit, right? I think so.
With that, discuss this future release AND/OR discuss nintendo series you'd like to see adapted to film.
*cough*Metroid or Star Fox*cough*
Don't get your hopes up of an actual release...kinda
The Metroid movie was supposed to have been in production for five years now, and we still got absolute zip.

It's going to come, Layton that is, but likely only Japan.

I don't particularly care, I don't really like Layton (or puzzlers in general, too slow and not enough going on).
I want my Sonic movie! (yes I know he already got one but only gamers/big Sonic fans really know it exists).
Puzzlers are good.
And I couldn't stand a Sonic movie...at all.

Really? Why? Out of all the media (cartoons/comics) it's probably one of the best examples to show, despite it having the least amount of actual continuity...
Sonic got his movie "The Night of the Werehog."
Though I can't believe he can't defeat a duo of stupid ghosts in that form...

thus proving that the werehog is completely useless.
And it was more like a ten minute advertisement than a movie... although the animation was rather nice, and Griffith doesn't talk, which is always a plus.
I'd still think SF and Metroid would make the best adaptation...I can't stand Sonic outside of games....plus, it's not Nintendo.
Starfox would be great handled by a company like Pixar or Dreamworks.
Metroid should be live-action, however.

Video games should stay video games, please.
lol when I saw the title I thought nintendo was advertising in movie theaters.
Shoot, Metroid AND Star Fox would be awesome...
We've had pokemon, though not live action... but I bet that would be lame.
Damn. I really wouldn't know. 0_o
And Mack, Sonic already has a movie. TWO, actually, but the first one was epic. METAL SONIC FTW!
Sonic annoys me.
Anyways, I think SF and Metroid adaptations would be cool. We have an AC movie, after all.

I think another one is on the way.
The movie I have, (Sonic OVA) is the best Sonic has been outside of video games.
It was made in 97, so it's the old sonic. Which is a good thing.
Seriously, I love the movie, plus it has metal sonic as the enemy.
