Title: What's the Origin of your username?
Post by: Shujinco2 on December 09, 2008, 05:58:49 PM
I know this has been stated before, but I'm bored so...

Shujinco (Properly spelled ShujinKo) was a character in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. In fact, he's probably my favorite MK character of all.

So, what's the origin of YOUR guy's usernames?

Long ago, I was a loser who made 1,000 new accounts on Nick.com, one of them was JrGuy, it stuck for a bit, then when I got to Oldsider, I thought it was asking for my real name, and since I didn't feel like doing that, I used JrDude, and THAT stuck even longer.

I was young and unoriginal.  The number were a random and hold no meaning to me what so ever.  Funny story about this name, someone has a gamertag that uses this exact name, and no its not mine.

Ludwig3: I needed a screenname for Oldsider, and I just so happened to be playing SMW on the GBA.
Sceptile: There was Blaziken, Mystic Swampert. So why not?

Sync: One of the God Generals from Tales of the Abyss' name is Sync.
I just like the name.

Believe it or not it was random... I think it was one of those, suggested names when one was taken or something like that.

But through the years it's described me perfectly (My fascination with Mycology for one).

Mithos - Anti-villian of Tales of Symphonia.
Xhomtis - Mithos, Nobodified.

Chat:
Rius - The Eternal Dawn, Love Personified, Coure di Penombra, etc...
CoureDiPenombra - Italian for "The Heart of Twilight"

I was in 7th grade and wanted to make an account on DDRfreak.com on which I'd lurked. Being DDR, and only being able to do 9-footers (level 9) or below at the time, I put that, and I also just liked chao.

The underscores are only there cuz I didn't know how the world worked and thought I couldn't use spaces like in email.

On Oldsider, I was going to be generic and use MasterLink as my username, but obviously, it didn't work. So I decided to come up with a different username with the same base. So I added Young in the middle as I was young, and I fancied the name MasterLink.

Yes, it does suck. Deal with it. =|

I created this username in 1996 or so when I first got AOL.

I was too lazy to think of anything good. I'm also too lazy to change it.

Also, I'm just kool.

Commissar = I don't know I just liked the word
Torgo = The worst character from one of, if not the worst movie ever "Manos" The Hands of Fate, but it made a great MST3K episode  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKNTaWElUgA&feature=related)

Despite what people might think, my name actually has NOTHING to do with coffee.

It was actually based off a nickname my friend gave me once.

I've typed this before, but let's do it again, hm?  I'll do it in run-on sentence style.

*deep breath*

It started in fourth grade when I was thinking of some random word to use as a book title for a short story I never wrote so I never used it, well, that is until the sixth grade where I discovered the word written on a small piece of paper and I realized it would be a cool name for a club, since it was the "cool" thing to do to name your group of friends as a club, so we were the "Zovistograt Club" for two years, with me as the vice president because Bobcheese was the president (...I'm not joking) but then that kind of disintegrated when we realized it was kind of silly so it lay dormant for a year but then I started using it with a The at the beginning ("The Zovistograt") on some small sites including a freewebs account and then one day I wanted to join oldsider so I tried MR.GAME_AND_WATCH but that didn't work and I already used my second choice for my MyNintendo username so I tried ZOVISTOGRAT and of course it worked so then I resolved to drop the "The" and go by Zovistograt as my identity on the Internet.

I wanted a new AIM screen name, since my old one sucked. Before, it was TREVSTAR9000... :D
I doodle a lot, I'm a guy, and a random number came to form DOODLEboy99!
Then I just started using it for everything.

Used to be a Marth fanboy, Xero sounded and looked cool so I added it at the end.

I wouldn't mind dropping the 'Marth' now.

vgfreakmb - Video Game + Freak + initials

Cannotcompute - I thought of this randomly when I joined GameFAQs, because vgfreakmb sounded retarded, and Cannotcompute stuck.

Kilroy - I was listening to the radio in the car, and Mr. Roboto ~ Styx/Styxx (can't spell it ;-; ) came on, and I was like "kilroy thats a pretty cool name it starts with a k and doesnt afraid of anything", and that stuck for a while

Olimar - My favorite game character, other than Luigi or Louie, it's hard to decide D:

Byte - Basically the same as Kilroy, but without the song. "byte thats a pretty cool name its 8 bits and doesnt afraid of anything" etc.

generic username originally intended for Gorillaz' forums, but their forums' registration was closed >:o it's been closed for a really long time D:
I dunno why I chose the number or the underscore. I sometimes get rid of the underscore and sometimes I change the last number :\
